Denis Carter Scam
Beware!!! This number belongs to LAWP but they spoof it so that the call seems legit. The caller spoke Spanish only and claimed that our ELECTRICITY BILL is passed due and that I needed to pay up immediately. Little did she know that the bill is not under my name so I hung up the phone. We called LAWP and they confirmed that it was a scam call.
I keep getting vm and calls. This is the number my Caller ID shows. But BeenVerified shows it is this man’s personal phone number. I checked the number because the vm(s) stating that they were a female named Landria on behalf of the Los Angeles DWP & she is asking me to call and give them personal information about myself & I became suspicious of a phishing scam

I think this is a scam, this company is a subsiduary of Mcafee so if you have ever had any of their software then "Dri-Spyspotter" will have your details. I have had no success in contacting the company and my credit card company said that because I had previous purchase history with Macafee then I am responsible. You will need to cancel your card and start again I'm afraid. The moral of this story is dont touch anything Macafee with a barge pole.
civil matter
I've talked to someone I know who is associated with the California Firefighters Association. They said it is a legit call. The only sad thing is that if you tell them that the person isn't in and ask to take a message, the representative on the phone will say, "It's a courtesy call," and hang up on you. Such a shame for a good cause.
Said they were calling from Microsoft.
Darlene was very pleasant and stated I had won one of 4 prizes. Went to an appointment that had approx 50 people attending to listen to a sales pitch for a Vacation Package "Time Share". Very rude staff and could not answer questions we were asking such as for locations, hotel, flights, etc. Just said they have too many to list but couldn't show a list. Because of the sneaky tactics and unanswered questions, we left with no "prize" as told I had won.
I called this number back It's Ohio job and family service
Charged $29.95 on my card no idea what for. No contact or explanation.
Caller called and left message for me to call back. Don't sure why a debt collector would be calling I have no bad credit so found it odd to see that is what is on file. When I returned call during business hours I got a voice mail but didn't leave a message.
I have recieved a statement from my creditcard company, with a transaction: "DRI*SPYSPOTTER 800-342-8599" ... for USD 29,95. I never ordered/purchased this, wherefore I Googled the number, and found this site.My card-company has been very fair to me - we agreed in closing down my card. I have never been called by phone nor recieved any form of mail from anybody regarding something named DRI*SPYSPOTTER.
she called representing PD Productions stating that we had won a prize and that we had to show up at a location to "scratch off" a card indicating what of 4 prizes we amy have won..qualifires must present a credit card to ensure taxes will be paid. this is a, credit card spoofing agency as d has stated!
I have been billed too by "dri spyspotter" May 12 '09 and 12/12/09 for 29.95 USA dollars = 19.56 uk pounds and don't know anything about service ordered!! No one answers that 800 342 8599, because phone # is phony I suspect. What did you do to get the $29.95.I ask my C card company to stop this payment but they ask me to contact Spy spotter But no one answering the call ??
My mom got a call from this number. I want to know who it is.
No voicemail was left.
I never recieved a call, but here In good ol new zealand it seems i have suffered the same thing. I remember getting a programme called regcure a year or so back and after that i was being billed by DRI SPYSPOTTER with the acompanying 800 number....i never wueried it and thought it must have been a standard bill at samll cost..until........... i have changed computers a few times and have recently run inot money troubles, so trying to penny pinch where i can i was chekking my visa account to see what i shuld cancel...behold, the charge, monthly to DRI SpySpotter....what a long time to be wasting money, especially since i never really noticed..these scammers must be rolling in the cash!!!!!!!!
Had USD 29.95 charged to my credit card by DRI*Spyspotter 800-342-859. Never had any conversation or business transactions with outfit - don't know who they are. Have lodged a dispute claim credit card provider.
one of the numbers on our family cell plan keeps getting calls from this number asking for someone who we don't know. They don't believe us when we tell them we don't know who Christina Carter is and keep calling.
Was charged 29.95 on my Visa card on 8-05-09 that I did not purchased or authorize. I will notify Visa of this charge.
No message left.
My number is unlisted. I don't give it out. I give out my cell number if I ever have to give a number.
darlene called me and said i had won a prize several months ago and she said in my best interest to call her at 8003426232. i didnot call.
This individual called me at my place of employment. When I called her back, she stated that she was a debt collector for an outstanding doctor's bill I had. I informed her that I would like to make a payment on that collection, but that I did not currently have the funds. She stated that she would then transfer my account to their legal department, as I was refusing to make a payment. I informed her that I was not refusing to pay, but that I could not make a payment. She then said she would note my account, and hung up on me. I have never been treated so rudily in all my life!
I had a message to return the call in regards to a job offer and I gave them all my personal information; social security number, name and birth date. What should I do?
Got a 29.95 charge on my visa from some spyspotter?!?!?! No answer at the 800-342-8599....tried to dispute it w/my credit card company and they will not take me seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very rude, whenever I call him back all I get is his answering machine and he never gets back to me. He continues to call my house during the day although I've repeatedly left him my cell and told him to call that during the day.
A $52.99 charge was put on my VISA by this "person" this is a scam. I had to cancel my credit cards and receive new ones. WHAT A HASSLE, but they said that the "people" who made this initial charge can "next time" max out my card and run if I didn't cancel it.
do not respond to "free" offers from this credit card spoofing agency!
caller stated was from microsoft, left callback # of 800-342-9114 called that # and stated from Microsoft Visual Studios - unable to speak with a person.
They need to stop calling my place of employment and being rude. They claim to have called my cell-phone several times, maybe if the number was not unlisted and they left a message I could get back to them. All I can say now is good luck recieveing anything from me.
Called and said they were QVC. Asked me to call them. I dialed the number, but it didn't go to QVC. Then I called QVC. The lady didn't recognize the number. Checked Caller ID box. It said Embarq Privacy.
