Leave a CommentThis morning I answered a call attended for my son. Bank of America claiming my college age son's account was past-due $6000+ and if I would like, I can make a payment. Instead I took a message and gave my son a lecture, thinking he carelessly got his account # stolen. Funny, when he called, they said he owed exactly $4200. He****ured them that he did not want to make a payment and for them to send a statement to his secured e-mail account. He called Bank of America to confirm their was no balance on his account. Curiousity brought me here to this site. I will go through the loops and try to report this scam to the attorney general of Illinois.
I got a unknown call as well and they wouldn't give me any information about the what the acct regarded...so I asked for a call back number since I was at work. 800 346 2090. I called it back and a Chris responded saying yes I have an account with us but its clear so I dunno why u are calling...is that some weird **** or what! He sounded confused and asked if I had received a message if I had a name he could report. So looks like w***ver is playing games works at this place and is trying to steal iden***ies....Chris even forwarded me to his manager who told me not to answer any calls that say they are from them when the number comes up unknown. Their numbers alwawys come up so u can call back. ***! I dont know who to believe...they all could be lying but whats even more odd is they had my acct up and said Ms. L ur good why are u calling today??!!

got a call from card services claiming to have business with me.left a 18003462090 number
they called and left a very generic message saying "this is soandso calling from card services regarding some business you have with us if you could call us back at 18003462090 at your earliest convenience" the message was unclear and sketchy as***** so i called back and they immediately asked for my account number, i replied" i have which bank is this regarding" ........"long pause on the other end, "your primary bank" then i was just like "go f*** yourself"fraudulent number, dont be fooled
I got the same call on my cell phone which is not listed on my application.
I received a call from a person named Sarena. When I called back, they asked for my account number. I refused to give account number because I had no idea which account they were talking about. When I asked specifically the name of the company, they would not tell me. The only thing they could say is that they are Card Services. Finally, the operator told me that they are a collection company that works in collections for several credit cards companies. Since they could not specifically tell me what they were calling about, I asked them to stop calling. That was the end of our conversation. I hope they will not call me a***n.
Caller left message claiming to be from 'Card Services' - when called back a rather professional sounding voicemail system connected me to a representative who claimed to be from Bank of America and asked for my account number. When I refused, he asked for my SS# - I wouldnt give it and so he asked for a phone number.I reported the call to Bank of America and they verified that it was fraudulent.
