Leave a Commentthis is from a collection company called GRC (General Revenue Corporation). A few thoughts - keep a detailed log of when they call. They are NOT permitted to harrass you in this manner. Also send them a letter DEMANDING that they stop calling you. Send it registered, retrurn reciept requested. If they still call then you need to contact an attorney in your area to****ist you as they appear to be in violation of Federal and possibly state law.Also. When you do your taxes do what is called an "injurde spouse allocation" form. The purpose of this is that they will only be able to take the part of your refund that is attributable to your husband's income and not yours. If you have already done them for this year you can still do the form and send it in and they will the part of the refund attributable to your income.
My husband has a garnishment from Sallie Mae BUT we still get 12 phone calls a day from them...They need to just get over it. They have taken out taxes EVERY year for the past 3 years and it is driving me nuts!
