This is legit, at least in my case. The number on my door ****er went directly to Chase. Their may be copy cat companies doing this so simply verify it is Chase when you call the number.

Plain envelop ****ing on door with URGENT! PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY, and the number.  Who is it.

I just received a note on door to call this number: 800-446-8939. I confronted the person leaving the note and she responded to call my mortgage company which is Chase. I called another number I have and they verified that this number was for the Chase Homeowners****istance Dept. So it is valid.

Some idiot left an envelope taped to my door with a "URGENT! Contact us immediately.  800-446-8939"  No legitimate company would EVER tape a plain white envelope with a small piece of paper in it, without any type of letterhead, loan #, etc.  Chase or any reputable company has more credibility than that.  Our street has had several recent burglaries and  thefts.  These folks better stay away as our neighborhood will not tolerate ****s and will call the police.  As far as I am concerned they are trespassing.DO NOT give out any information to these ppl.  (ppl seems too good of a word for s***bags like these!)

The link in the post above mine is forged. It says it is from "The Consumerist." If you look at the URL, though, you will see that it is not Consumerist.com. Furthermore, if you go to consumerist.com and search on Chase, you will see a page very similar to the one in the link above, but with Chase's REAL phone number in it. This is so freaking ****** I can't even believe it.

I've gotten the door ****ers too. However, this concerns me. Why are they ****ing this on the door? Is my landlord not paying them? I know at one point he said he was doing loan mods.... And I know for a fact he has Chase b/c I've gotten his mail before by accident. When I confronted him he played off the loan mod like it was no big deal and tried to make me feel ignorant b/c loan mods usually mean "homeowner's****istance" but not in this case... now all of a sudden I am getting homeowner****istance's envelopes on my door... I have a bad feeling about this... *sigh*

This guy claiming to be named JOHN COOLS, went by our old house and gave the people there a envelope - with this alleged number  =  the court order ont he house was two years ago!! ALL PAID OFF!!!!! Do not send over uninformed persons to give out this number no one can get through. We don't need any****itance!!! Especially after 2 years!!! This is terrorism by the banks.

I just got one of these door ****ers with the initials handwritten on it CMC, call this number 8004468939 . A kid with ****ed hair, a black AC/DC t-shirt and driving a ford f-150 pickup ***g it on the door. It can't be from Chase Mortgage or anything else****ociated with Chase because I have no Chase accounts. Not Mortgage, Credit Card or anything else.I bet it's a scam and the person that keeps insisting how wonderful they are is one of the scammers.

This is a valid Chase number.  Chase has been helping me since November 2009.  This is their 800# for their Homeowner's****istance Dept.  I have a letter from Chase with all of their info and have been under a Forbearance Plan with them.  This is the info on their letter and where I was making my payments which have come off my mtg. loan.:Chase Home FinanceHomeowner's****istance Dept.Mail Code OH4-73543415 Vision Dr.Columbus, OH 43219-6009(800) 446-8939

Liar .... they haven't been helping you .... Call the Chase number on your account .... they will tell you this number has nothing to do with them. Better yet, search Chase's Website for the number .... comes up as "no search" results ....People .... ALWAYS question anonymous stuff like this .... no reputable company like Chase would send ANY non-descript information to your home. NEVER ... they would be liable for a harrassment suit from you.

Number came to me in a brown envelope placed on my front door by a ***** guy in a old beat up car. Called the number just for fun and a recording said it was CHASE. Did not go any further as they wanted a portion of a account number. Could be a scam. I have contacted the police with the license plate number from the car.

this is not chase as stated above.. this is a company who hires people with criminal records to make initial contact. dont fall it! you will be told they are from chase but what they do you can do youself with no help from any one other than the mortgage co. on your statement.. call them ask for their loan modification dept.. dont let these crooks take your money or your house.. 800.446.8939 ur warned

Chase mortgage? I keep getting called on my cell phone by this number 2-3 times a day. They s****ed anbout 3 weeks ago by asking for someone, not me or anyone I know. when I would say that they have the wrong number they would ****up. Somet tiem I answer this call and it goes straight to a recording saying "welcome to chase" and it wants my account number or SS# to continue. if you do not enter anything it ****s up on you. Now they just call and **** up. this is getting beyond annoying.

they call with a recording asking you to hold on, and you wait forever for someone to pick up. Its Chase Homeowners****istance, so if your getting a home loan modifacation, you probably want to answer and hold on, it may be good news !! Just ****s that they are using up my minutes on  my cell phone.

Got a call from a loan modification center wanting to see if I was able to be approved for the Obama homeowners plan (Making homes affordable program)  Said he was from Chase bank.

Called, left no msg.
