Leave a CommentCalled my wife twice about a “Fraudulent AmEx Credit Card” in her name. She didn’t answer so they called me and left voicemail.
Received a real person call that went to my voicemail claiming to be from American Express Hi-Rez team claiming that someone submitted a recent application submitted in my name.
Same scam, "Did you apply for Amex credit? Answered NO and the "hero" says "someone is trying to apply for credit in your name!" Had I said YES, they would have fished for MORE data. Tricky!!! This is in sync with the others who have commented. Be very WARY.
Be ware of phone numbers 800-450-8737. 800-450-8737 and 801-945-5000. I receive these numbers on 12/22/2020 from Albert with American Express regarding an application I did NOT request!
I received a phone call from 801-945-5000. Did not answer it. Same number called a family member regarding an application for American Express Credit Card. Left call-back number 800-450-8738. Person identified himself as Albert. Anonymous February 04, 2021
Said someone applied for American Express card in my name. They then called another number on my att account and left same message.*****ounced my name wrong
