This is NCO financial, a debt collector.
Spoofed caller id for NCo collection 1800520374
NCo collection agency
***holes keep calling and hang up on answer.
The national pandemic of telephone terrorism perpetrated by desperate criminal collection agencies is because they are trying to terrorize people who are naive enough to answer and submit to unsolicited telephone calls or written "collection" letters that have no legitimate legal debt associated with them or any of the companies, universities, or whomever else they claim to represent. Because most "little guys" were bankrupted by the criminal Wall St/Congress/Big Oil/Big Bankers/Big Business/Military/Robber Barons, so the desperate collection agencies are attempting to collect unpaid debts from innocent people by terrorizing them into submission.Word of advice. NEVER answer any calls you don't recognize or are not expecting. Use selective call rejection service if available, or switch to an Internet-based telephone service which provides comprehensive call rejection options. If rogue calls become chronic, turn off all the ringers on all of your phones except one, and set its volume to the minimum setting. If you don't answer the call and the caller is legitimate, they will usually leave a voicemail after the first or second try. Rogue callers never leave voicemail messages because that could be used as evidence against them if it came to a lawsuit. If you receive a rogue letter in the mail warning you of some "collection" action against you, if you don't actually owe it, reply with a short letter stating that you don't owe it. Or if you do owe all or part of it, reply with something like "You claim I owe you a debt. Under §809 FDCPA, I request validation of this debt."Only give them your name as THEY have written it to you (e.g. “John Doe” not “Jonathon Q. Doe” or however you normally sign your own name), address, and the account number they report. But if you do not owe the debt (zombie debt, aged debt, mistaken or stolen identity, forgery, etc.) state that you have never done any business with them or with the (alleged) original creditor of any kind and you expect the collection agency to close the matter, stop harassing you and take any bad credit marks they've caused off of your credit rating, and furthermore, that any further contact from them must be in writing on their official business correspondence letterhead. Send your letter to them a.s.a.p., always within thirty days, first class certified mail return receipt requested. If they refuse it and you get the letter back unopened, leave it unopened and save it in your files as evidence against them should they pursue legal action against you. If they did receive it and continue to pursue action against you, let them. The judge will throw it out of court. If the rogue collection agency sells your account to another rogue collection agency just tell them the claim has been proven invalid and offer to send them a copy of your letter to the previous rogue collection agency. Warn all your friends about this rash of desperate collection agency terrorism, and how to combat it. Knowledge is power. The more you learn how to combat rogue collection agencies, back-taxes scammers, phishing scammers, and other flimflammers, the more you will learn how easy it is to do.Above all, keep a record of everything, of every rogue call w/ caller ID information displayed including time and day of each call. Maintain a complete file on any snail-mailed intimidation from rogue collection agencies, including copies of all correspondences and postal receipts. Reporting rogue calls on sites like800notes.com, whocallsme.com, phoneowner.info is a great idea too, because many people find these sites by googling for the rogue number(s) after receiving calls from them.--Start Here:http://www.google.com/search?num=50&q=%C2%A7809+FDCPAhttp://www.google.com/search?num=50&q=zombie-debthttp://www.google.com/search?num=50&q=slander-of-credithttp://www.google.com/search?num=50&q=limited ... llection-agencyhttp://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs27-debtcoll.htmhttp://www.ehow.com/way_5849463_do-up-certified-dispute-letter.htmlhttp://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Defeat-a-Collection-Agencyhttp://hubpages.com/hub/Battling-Consumer-Debt-Collectors-Part-2-I-Do-Not-Owe-This-Debthttp://hubpages.com/hub/Sample-letters-for-disputes-to-creditors--collectors-and-credit-bureaushttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FDCPAhttp://www.fair-debt-collection.com/Disputing ... ute-letter.html (most say the above sample letter is too long and should be much shorter)http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/statue-limitations.htmlCredit Report:https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jspUSPS:http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/extra ... mailservice.htmhttp://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/extra ... eiptservice.htmOther links:http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/personal/02/29 ... tors/index.htmlhttp://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Defeat-a-Collection-Agencyhttp://clarkhoward.com/shownotes/category/12/103/358/http://clarkhoward.com/topics/drop_dead_letter.html--Information for filing complaints against rogue telephone calls, telephone harassment, false "bill collector" harassment, etc.,in the United States and Canada:UNITED STATESUS National Do Not Call Registry, file complaint: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspxFederal Trade Commissionhttp://www.ftc.gov 1-877-382-4357File complaint online: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.govhttps://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=enthat is at www.ftc.govFederal Communications CommissionTelephone toll free: 1-888-225-5322http://www.fcc.gov/contacts.htmlFile complaint online: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumers.htmlhttp://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htmFCC Abandoned Calls Complaint form:http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/1088D-R.pdfemail: [email protected] Business Bureau, Check out a Business, find owner, contact info; file a Complaint:http://www.bbb.org/us/INTERNET CRIME:File report for Internet Crime at:Internet Crime Complaint Centrehttp://www.ic3.gov/default.aspxCANADARCMP Phone bustersTelephone toll free: 1-888-495-8501Mon-Fri 8:30-5:20 pm (Eastern Time)E-mail: [email protected] Website is at: http://www.phonebusters.com File complaint online: https://www.recol.ca/intro.aspx?lang=en(Register with a password and then can continually file complaints)Canada National Do Not Call Registry:Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)Telephone toll free to File A Complaint: 1-866-580-3625(to withdraw a complaint is 877-249-2782)CRTC online complaints form: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/pfplin-fccoin-engthat is at www.crtc.gc.caBetter Business Bureau, Check out a Business, find owner, contact info; file a Complaint:http://www.bbb.org/canada/
I don't know
Who owns this phone number?
Got a call from them earlier but we have no outstanding debts. Companies like this usually try to get people to call back just to verify that someone is there. If you call back you usually end up on an unpleasant list sold to whoever wants it. You get harassed by any number of companies because they simply have nothing better to do and there isn't much you can do about it.
Someone has been calling me from this number. This is already the third time (that I'm aware of) within the past week. I finally answered today and the man said he was calling in regards to an online college degree which I requested information. I asked him where he was calling from and he said he could not disclose this information but that it was to help people further their college education. I told him I never requested any information because I'm already attending college somewhere and asked him where he got my number from. He said I filled out an online survey and then asked me where I go to school. I didn't disclose this information to him and also, I never filled anything out so I told him to delete my phone number from their database. He said I had to do that myself and then immediately hung up.

University of Pheonix, they have several numbers so they can drive you crazy Will call 5-8 times a day between 8 am to 9pm .
I started getting this call after signing up for David's Bridal too. I would like to stop getting these calls.
I am also a new bride...and went to David's Bridal...and this number keeps calling non-stop. No message!
I called them. Looking for rental. I was caller number 12. No details so I hung up.
They call me every day from two different numbers and i dont answer it but sometimes it only rings once and they hang up . It is so annoying
They called my husbands cell phone which has not been used in over a year (got company phone) Saying they are collection agency and want to collect on a loan. We have excellant credit and get reports from all 3 agencys when our credit is accessed for any reason. So how can we have an outstanding loan! I will not call tem back and will have my lawyer send them a letter.
Calls constantly and doesn't leave a message. After reading previous complaints on this number, it would make sense that it would be David's Bridal because the calls started right after I registered. Does anyone know if there is a way to cancel the registration or find a way to get them to stop?
I want this number to stop calling me.
We have had our home phone number since June 2008. We get numerous calls from this number for a Jennie and Chris Hamm. We have asked them over and over and over to stop calling our number because Jennie and Chris Hamm do not live here and do not have our number. PLEASE PLEASE STOP CALLING OUR NUMBER 826-368-5600
Who is this....they won't stop calling my phone. They call at least once a day M-F. Sometimes even twice. Augh! So annoying. And this is on my prepaid cellphone. No way am I gonna answer just so they can use up all my minutes. :P

Why would someone with an 800 number be calling me. I think it is more of these education scams
fax call
keeps calling and doesn't leave message. Blood bank?
I requested an appointment about two weeks ago and they said they would get back to me within 48 hours...a week later they finally called but whenever I pick up no one answers! They call up to 5 times a day and never leave a message and I can't get it to stop!
Called back, it was the university of phoenix. I do not know why they were calling me but I hung up when try answered.
They call me too it ****es me off. Ive already purchased my wedding gown!
8005207109 - this number has called me everyday, multiple times a day for the past 30 days. when i answer, there is no one on the other end. if i do not answer, a voicemail is not left either. this is a very annoying and unnecessary disruption of my privacy.
I HAVE THE SAME S**T GOING ON!!! BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS FROM. NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE AND ANNOYING AS F***
They keep calling me everyday, about 4-5 times a day, dont leave message, and when I do answer they hang up, Im getting really mad
Okay so I wanted to set up an appointment to take a look at some dresses cause apparently you can't just walk into a cookie cutter dress store to buy a dress. I went onto the website and filled out this form. Ever since I haven't got a call or email back saying anything about setting up an appointment. Instead I have been getting calls from two numbers (thus far) 800-520-4808 and 804-665-1471. When I answer they usually hang up and once they asked for me and then hung up. I went online and found out that David's Bridal sells your contact information to people. So now I have random telemarketers calling and wasting my minutes. WHAT THE HELL DAVID'S BRIDAL. Shame on you for selling info. I'm putting your on blast for harassing your customers. This is so wrong of you to be selling information out when people spend hundreds on your gowns.
I got a phone call EVERYDAY from this number and numerous times a day! So annoying and never a message.
They did not call me I called them, this is a number listed on craigslist and other sites I found out. Once you call it says that you are caller number 37 then after a couple of min's it says you are now caller number 32. I hung up and called right back and of course it started over saying I was caller number 37. Not sure what the gimick is but I googled the number and it is plasturd all over the internet on different sites trying to either rent or sell properties.
keeps calling, doesn't leave message
I really wish they'd stop calling EVERY DAY.
It turns out that it's David's Bridal appointment request service. I had requested them last Monday because I wanted to get my dress this past weekend at the $99 dress sale since I have a really common size. They didn't call me until today...well, I already got my dress on Saturday after going in without an appointment!
Its Davids Bridal calling me when i don't need to schedule an appointment. They have been calling me nonstop during the day on my cell phone while i'm at work the past few days. I already have an appointment to pick up my dress in another week. I have had nothing but problems from them. My bridesmaid dresses didn't come in on time. i finally got two of them monday. One of my dresses is still on its way and my wedding is may 23, 2009. and,my girls need to have alterations done before the wedding. They ordered one dress in a size 8 when my cousin wears a size 2. so, now she has to get alterations done. and, thats the dress i'm waiting for. it has to be shipped to indiana where she lives. so, she will literally have two weeks to have it altered. i will never recommend davids bridal to anyone for thier wedding. all the comments i have been seeing on the internet. bad service from davids bridal. i guess you get what you pay for. no wonder the dresses are so cheap. their is always a reason. they get thier dresses from overseas somewhere. I got an apology letter from headquaters stating that they come from overseas and that is why its taking so long. i can't wait to have my appointment done and over with so i don't have to deal with them anymore. And, my dress better look good and my bridesmaids dresses better be what i ordered or their will be serious problems.
This number calls my cell 4 times a day everyday of the week !! Only after I registered with Davids Bridal on their website! The place has the cheapest dresses and worst service on the planet anyway !!
Some ragtop called my damn phone and wants to give me money. bu***hit. them dotheads need to stop calling my damn phone and go fly their carpets directly to hell.
Green post card addressed to my wife came to our Kansas home on 3-26-09 with presorted postage. Big letters advised that this was a Parcel Tracking Notice. It further advised that the original price was $50.00, and COD from a P.O. Box in Naples, Florida. In small letters, it advised that a processing fee was required and were not affiliated with the USPS. Right after that, it says remittance is optional. I laughed out loud. On the back it informs my Lovely and Gracious that this gift from heaven is jewelry. The "gift" is prepaid, but the processing and delivery fee is $6.25 and can only be paid by telephone and by Visa or MasterCard only. We were instructed to call 1-800-520-6130 and gravely intoned to us that this would be our only notice. They also advised that this is a free call, and to have our credit card information ready when I phoned.Other sites identified this outfit as the Consumer Clearing House, and based in New York. When asked for their Merchant Number, they didn't know it, but told the consumer to call 1-800-505-6450 and those people would have it. This card will be on the desk of our Attorney General in less than a week.
Got a post card.
Who are they? If you have some info about this number please post! thanks! :)
I didn't get the call, My elderly mother in law received it, or I should say I did for her, I am her Power of Attorney. I had her on the no call and taken her name off all the junk mail lists but in the later part of Feb 09 'til today she has started receiving some of these scams and junk ads again. Don't fall for this it is a way for them to get your info and authorize an electronic transaction they tell you it is for only $6.95 but they will then just keep taking money out of your account or they will make it for $695.95 and be long gone by the time you get your statement from your credit card company. I seen this almost exact scam a couple years ago in Texas.
Thi number keeps calling my work cell phone. This cost my employer everytime this happens. How can I stop this?
No call. Just green post card that says "PARCEL TRACKING NOTICE" asking for $6.95 for processing & delivery only payable by calling 1-800-520-6130, and using either Mastercard or Visa. I called Virginia "consumer hotline". They said it's an obvious scam but they have no enforcement power. I'm now in the process of notifying the US Postmaster General, Card was mailed using a first class permit from zip 33912 (Fort Myers FL).
I received a green, post office, official "looking" card in the mail. It claims that I have a parcel worth $50 waiting for me if I pay a $6.95 processing and delivery fee. All I have to do is give them my credit card number and they can "max out" my card and have a nice "night on the town" at my expense. Please be careful! It has a 1-800-520-6160 phone number, but I will not dial it. The whole thing stinks of fraud.
This number calls my cell at least 5 times a day......early morning and night. It's driving me crazy!
THEY SENT ME A POST CARD WANTING ME TO CALL THEM TO PAY $6.95 FOR JEWELRY WE DIDN'T WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY WANTED US TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD NO LESS. WHAT A BUNCH OF CONS. THE ADDRESS ON THE CARD IS :P.O.BOX 413019, NAPLES, FL., 34101
Keep receiving phone calls and they do not leave a message been receiving phone calls every day.
This phone number JUST called me, and I keep getting weird phone calls. the phone number was 800-520-4808 and it was to my cell phone. IT NEEDS TO STOP. It probably is David's Bridal, but this is CREEPY. it happened saturday afternoon.
keeps calling but no one speaks and randomly hangs up the phone please do something about it
Received postcard for parcel tracking Notice for jewelry item valued at $50. instructing me to call this number and give crdit card number for $6.95.
I received a postcard "Parcel Tracking Notice".
This 1-800-520-4808 keeps calling me at least 3-4 times daily, but they never leave a message. I don't answer phone calls from people that I don't know. Please make them stop or at least leave me a message so that I know who is calling me.
I got a call from this number. They didn't leave a message. Don't know who this is either. Weird
I'm pretty sure it's David's Bridal, too. I have an appointment with them on Saturday and I spoke with a customer service rep today but that stupid number still calls me 28342897 times a day... I don't get it!
THis number calls me several times a day. They never leave any messages either. IF they would at least leave a message I may contact them back.
I was also receiving many, many calls each day. I had filled out something about school grant information though. I told the person I was no longer interested and wanted my number removed. I'll see if that gets me anywhere.
I recieve several calls from this #. The man sound Iranian, said his name, which i could not understand. I ask what is the call about, he ask would you like to recieve Gov. Grant and went on with types of grants and he would mail a kit. Curious, I ask how much would this cost me. Then he said a (1) time payment for $4.87. I then told him call me back. To give me time to check this out.
its davids bridal. but why do they call before you have a respresentative? dont' call me when put me on hold! what a waste, I put you on hold.
They didn't call me, they sent me a card with the number for me to call them. They posed as an un named delivery service that had a package that $50.00 was due on and it had been marked down to $6.95 It had not details as to which delivery company it came from but wanted the remirtance of the above amount by credit card. This is an obvious attempt to gather credit card numbers...
Called 18 times today!!!
call everyday, do not say anything when answer phone. do not leave messages either
it started about a vacation we suposedly bought, but now it's turned into a request for information about grants that we have not applied for. Whenever I start questioning them they hang up. Thick Indian accent. I suspect it's a social engineering racket and they'll want bank information which they'll then exploit
