chased me for months to settle a debt. We haggled back and forth and agreed on a price. When I spoke to them a***n to request it in writing a 'supervisor' got on the line and just went nuts on me.  I said "hey why are you so angry- I am ready to pay you"? I even had my check book out!!! He just WOULDN'T stop yelling at me. Now I am retaining an attorney to sue them. The people with this group are S***.

got a call last night from 713-260-7199 that sounds like this clown. Blk woman wanted my ss# to confirm I was me (they had the name right). Point of call never discovered as she ***g up right after I s****ed asking questions. Called number above this AM and got the ol' "we're sorry you have reached...."

Received a call/mssg. 2/26 2:27PM Left the name Linda Hightower. stated attorney? 800-568-4116 x-1104. No idea who/what this person is/wants. I am on a DNC list re telemarketers.

They want the spelling of your name, social security, or Date of Birth so they can "officially" verify your information oas the debtor. You don't have to give them any of it. They have everything on you already. It is right there in front of them.

I received a voice mail from Jamerie Coffman telling me she was from the law office of James West and needed to speak with me reguarding a case pending a***nst me. She said to ask for only her and call back at 1 (800) 568-4116 ext 1273.  I knew immediately this was United Recovery Service. They have been calling my cell phone also. I used my call block feature on my phone and was given the number (713) 260-7627 that she called from. While she can't call me anymore, I also know they are hounding me for money I can't given since I've been unemployeed for over two years now.When I get a job, I will work directly with my credit card company to pay back my debt even though they wrote it off...and ONLY my credit card company. This is the only way to improve my credit a***n...not URS.

Guess that's what happens when Americans teach our kids that plastic is fantastic.  I certainly hope the creditor doesn't decide to do so****ing drastic, like take the described fully intended actions promised in the contract.  Blame your lack of finding a job on the fact that people aren't paying their bills. Oh wait.. that's you.

Guess you should have thought that LIFE might happen before your charged on your credit card? Or maybe used a credit card like it should have been used? Don't charge more on your credit card than you make at your job.  It's not free money and it certainly doesn't go away just because you ignore it. Stop looking for advice on what you should do from anyone, but an attorney because I am certainly not going to say everything is going to be okay.  Work out so****ing with them to get the balance paid so that the rest of America doesn't have to be burdened with your debtload on our economy.Wuss.

Left a message at my job saying they are with the "Law Offices" of James A. West P.C.  They are a collection agency not a Law Firm, http://wildwildwest-law.com/firmover2.htm. Return number was 800-568-4116 ext 1145 to a lady named Gray Soles (if that really is her name).

Office of James West PC, called my office and told my secretary they needed to speak to me about a personal matter.  Called back at 1-800-568-4116 and they asked for spelling of my name, couldn't "find me" right away in their database.  Wondered if there was another spelling for my name, when I said no, they said the only other way to find it would be by Social Security Number of Date of birth.  I said "F  " off.  Told me this was about an outstanding debt and I'd been turned to collections.  Told them to feel free to call back when they had their " " together.

i am receiving the calls at work several times a day and now it is going to the HR department. I don't want my company knowing my financial business as it does not affect my work life. when you don't have money and continue to tell them that they seem to harass more. What legal options do I have?

Call me continually @work and home... have explained several times that my husband had discs replaced in his neck and has not been able to work since dec 08.... was told that I should still be able to meet my obligations reguardless and that I needed to make payments of 268.00 per month

My wife & I are out of work. We find some 1 or 2 day jobs, but nothing permanent. We just barely are able to make our house payment each month. Arnetta, from James West, asked me all kind of details about my house payment,utilities, checking account balance, etc. I told her I had $600 in checking and was trying to get enough to make my house payment due in 7 days. She demanded $331 and said I didn't need to worry about my house payment til next month. This is 4/27, next month is almost here. She said she would put down that I am refusing to pay. I get a lot of calls on debt we owe, but this place is undoubtedly the worst I have dealt with.

This is a claiming law office however it's a collection agency.  They are attempting to collect a debt.  They are trying to confirm phone and address and payment.  Only call back if you are wanting to settle this debt.  If not don't call cause they will drill you for information and still continue to harrass you.

Law Offices of James West, left message on answering ma****e, for Katie with the same last name.  I called back to let them know they had the wrong number, the lady was nice and said thank you for letting her know...

Same story as above -- calling my CEL and COSTING ME MONEY, argumentative jack*** when I call back and tell him I never HEARD of the person they think is at my number (that I have had for years, by the way). I work at a PROFESSIONAL law firm, I recognize s***-****ing bottom-feeders when I hear them. All of you people making these calls? Get some self-respect and another job.

Good thing we screen our phone calls.  We received a call from Tamara Franklin from the Law Office of James West.  She called for someone that does not reside at our address.  Gave a call back number of:  800-568-4116 ext 1221

said that he was from my insurance company and had me over night 289 dollar to him

From what I understand, they are a legal office attempting to collect a debt.

I repeatedly receive a call from James West Attorney's office. They are not my attorney. This party is totally unknown to me. I do not have any bill in collections. I have not responded to any internet or otherwise ad that a telemarketer would call me and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

they have the wrong # that person doesn't even or ever hasw lived here. They said they were a Law of James West. Then they better get there facts streight.

I got 3 calls from the same number from suppossed attorney of"James West" law firm and to call back as soona s you get this message. No name just a ext. was given

I have told these people in the past that they had the wrong number but they still insisted on calling everyday. Filed a complaint through do not call list and they stopped for a while but now they are calling me a***n everyday.

After I said, "Hello," a color with a thick Southern accent cursed for awhile (about 5 seconds). I just held the phone and waited to see if anything else would come up, without saying anything. He stayed on the line for 17 seconds.

calls 2 or 3 times a day sometimes more we are elderly and don't and can't be bothered with this nonsense.

I continue to tell the caller (everytime they) that the person they are calling for does not live in the home at this telephone number. And I ask them not to call my home anymore, but they continue to call.

Linda Hightower from the law office of James West has been calling my employer's HR office leaving messages on someone else's voicemail for me.1-800-568-4116 X- 1104Is this a scam?  I do not plan on calling them back, yet it is very embarassing to have my HR contact me telling me this phone message.

A "Miss Adams" from the James A West law office called for someone who no longer lives here, and hasn't for several years.  There was some urgency to return the call today.  The phone number was 800-568-4116 ext 1272.
