iPhone User Got a call stating the are from Comenity Bank from 913-5635510 to call this number about my account. My account is up to date and paid. Scam caller

wants your info so they can charge you for services you do not have! Idiots!

Called back and it was a “bank in India” they try to give you a run around to get you to give out your information

They're asking for Iesha Lucas, saying they have a debt with Community Capital Bank, needed to be resolved now since it was an old account and they are not responding. I know they're not a legit business. In the voicemail I can hear a messenger pop up which means they are on a cell phone. The message was distorted. I don't answer or call back but it's annoying that they keep calling.

Says your social security number has been stolen.

Bobbie We do not have any merchant credit cards. BY LAW, a collection company HAS to provide their name, the business they are working for and what the call is in regards (a personal business matter is NOT allowed). BY LAW, they are not to represent law enforcement agencies., BY LAW, they are not allowed to call before 8 am or after 6 pm. BY LAW (new June 2015), if you do not have your name included in your voice mail greeting, they are NOT allowed to call for 30 days. BY LAW, if you ask them to stop calling you and remove from their calling list, they are to do so immediately, otherwise it's grounds for a law suit and if you DO owe a bill that bill is wiped clean (they have to eat it). There ARE laws to protect the consumer a***nst nuisance calls such as these... We get between 5-15 calls a day from 800-695-6950 and neither of us have ANY merchant credit cards. They never leave a message when we let the ma****e answer the call. When we DO actually answer the call, they provide NO information and tell us they are recording the phone call. However, they rarely provide a name and they NEVER provide the company name.

LonnyB The call is from University of P***nix, they are a LEGITIMATE school. If you are getting calls from them, it is because you have opted in to receive information about a program that they offer. If you don't want anymore calls from them, just man up, answer the call and tell them you aren't interested in hearing about what they have to offer and have them remove you from their call-list.
