"Global Network" wants to sell my timeshare, too.Does anyone out there know a reputable company that will really re-sell timeshares?
I too had a similar experience as the ones above. My caller said his name was Brian Davis at 800-859-9394 x116, or I could reach his****istant, Rachel at extension 106. He wanted $3900 for their fee. He said he had the buyers in the office and they were awaiting approval for financing. I told him I had had the time to look the Caller ID up on the internet in the time it took for him to call me back to let me know that the buyers had recieved financing and that I believed him to be a scam. He rudely told me that he would not waste time with me and ***g up. Several phone numbers showed up: 407-581-3754, 3741, 3740. Beware!
My experience is the same as the above. Can't anyone do so****ing about this company, which is obviously a scam!! The name I was given was Chad Jennings (800-581-3740 x131), and he wanted $1,950 as a fee for selling our timeshare. He said he had a buyer and would open the escrow as soon as I gave him my credit card number to pay for the fee. I explained that our timeshare was a fee ***le, and not a long term rental, and that he could be paid out of the closing of the escrow. He was a very fast talker, and when I said I wanted the name and number of the escrow company, he ***g up on me! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM SCAM!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS ONE!!!!
Pretty much the same approach from these con-men as the above. Once I asked for a contract to gurantee purchase, they didn't call back. They had tried to call me several times earlier. When I picked up the call, they had accurate information about my desired price to sell, as my timeshare is being advertised. They magically came back and said they had a buyer in the range of my desired price. They made it look good until they wanted me to fork over $1,950, like everyone else. Thanks for this information as it helped to prevent my wife and I from looking like fools.
This guy has been calling me telling me that he wanted to sell the timeshare for 10K. I insisted that I cancelled the purchase of the timeshare and he insisted that he had the paper work that I still owned it. So I told him to mail me the information and he said I had to act quick to get the timeshare sold. He said all you need is 1K to pay the dues but I told him I don't have that kind of money. He said I can just charge the money on my credit card. The longer I kept him on the phone the more irrate he got. What I'm wondering is how did he get my information and how can I make sure that my information is safe.
I rec'd a call from this rude person Chad Jennins from Global Network who told me the same thing that he has a buyer but I need to be part of their company first which mean he needed my payment of $1950 in order for him to fax me the paper work. I too prayed and I found this website and I'm glad I did. Thank-you Jesus I did not give him my Credit Card. Nothing good will ever come to this person or company. He's going to call me back in 15 mins, but I will have my attorney listening this time. "So****ing that sounds so good, this day and age it's too good to be true.

I too just nearly fell for this. Spoke with both Allen Trent and Jim Anderson today. I insisted on some type of insurance that my property was actually being sold. They said a third party verifier would call me back to verify that I was authorizing funds, but that I was not to tell them that Allen Trent told me he actually had a buyer for me. I told them I would not lie for them because he had indeed told me I had a buyer. He said it was supposed to be a secret and that it was a***nst the law for them to tell me. I said "then why on earth would I give you $1,950 unless you actually had a buyer for me". He was extremely rude and said forget it....keep your time share lady! So I am....I would rather keep it than give these con artists a single cent of my money!
Alan Trent called and was surprised that I didn't remember him from when he had called in regards to selling our timeshare. After speaking to my husband for awhile, they got disconnected and then someone who said he was Raymond Tinsdale, the Sr. executive of Florida State Visiting Bureau called. He just about said what everyone else here heard, the need for $1950 to get the paper work going. He reduced it to $1350 as he said as an ececutive, he could do that. Kept pressuring when I said we were not comfortable giving our credit card number over the phone to someone who called us.When I asked if we could meet with him to discuss it he said he was going to Jacksonville. And the people who wanted to buy it were leaving for Miami today. So we had to do it now.He gave me a real estate license # which seemed bogus to a real estate friend. When I suggested he call back tomorrow, he reluctantly said okay. I am so glad we didn't fall for this. I told him my husband and I always discussed things first and also prayed before making a decision. He actually told me to have a blessed day when he ***g up. I hope that at least that was a genuine comment.
I also received a call from Steve telling me that they had someone interested in buying my timeshare, that they were in the office with them right then, Yeah, right. It seems that they weren't able to sell my timeshare and they wanted to me to pay $1950 in closing costs. Glad I didn't. Then they had the nerve to call me back on Monday. These guys have been hounding me for months about my timeshare. I am glad I finally found so****ing out about them.
Was called by Steve Roe and Kyle Miller. Pretty much all the same scenarios which have been told here. I really do want to sell...but a little hesistant. I was glad to read your comments before I forked over $1950 on my credit card. They say that is they way you sell timeshares since you actually don't own the property just time. I told them I wanted time to think about it and to call me tomorrow, they were not too happy with that but said they will.
Thank you all for taking the time to put your stories here. I received a call from Alan Trent, License #TC922812;****istant name Rachel. He said he had my Trendwest Time Share sold, but needed the $4950 Fee up front. Said he had a buyer and would call back after their financing was approved. Called back 45 minutes later with "Good News", then wanted my credit card number. I asked their address and legal name and said that I would give them a call back. When googling, I found this site. Thanks a***n.
Similar to above received calls from Kenneth Hall asking if I'd like to sell my timeshare. I said I'd sell most anything for the right price. Said they had a buyer that they're working and hope to have locked in soon. I indicated I wasn't comfortable providing them $ upfront on a property I'm selling and would need to be made comfortable with this scenario. They said they would, but I did some internet research and it looks like they won't have a **** of getting my $. Thank you!
I also got a call today!!!!!! As the above comments I too was scammed for four hours and forth, I was told it was sold and wanted my credit card info to pay the commission However, they quickly say thanks and good bye when you challange who they are and why they need the info....I have checked the fl sos and theyn are nothing but scam artists please share this info with anyone who will listen as they NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!!!!!NOW!!!!!!! the names I were given were: Steve Roe, Alan Trent, Kyle Miller and Shannon???? WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!
Jim Anderson from global Timeshare. He said we have a buyer for your Timeshare. You have to give a down of $1300. The sheet he faxed me said nothing about having a buyer for my timeshare only that the advertising would s**** 48 hours. What a shame. How can these people have a conscience.Beverly Fl.
Some guy called me from Global Network and they said they had my timeshare sold. This was odd in that they didn't even have a description of the property. Then they said that I had to pay them to "list it", before they could sell it. I called the FL Department of Consumer Affairs. They told me this was a "classic scam" but had nothing on the company itself. This web-site saved me! These are crooks!
It is a scam!!!!!!!!! We had arleady been scammed once by timeshare MLS and if that wasn't enough we got a call from this phone nuber which is connected to several time share companies trying to rip you off. We almost got excited like the first time except this time I looked them up on the enternet and they were busted!
He called and wanted to sell my timeshare.Who said I had one for sale? Very rude only would talk to my husband. They will take your money and then you will never hear from them a***n.
They identify themselves as Global Timeshares or Worldwide Timeshares, but they have also used other names that I can't remember. They have an address near the Florida Mall in Orlando but when looking for it, all I find is a empty office. They guaranteed the sale of my timeshare, but since paying their fee I have never received a calls of interest. I will be in Orlando for a couple of months in near future and plan on spending a lot of time near the Florida Mall.
they claim this is a timeshare company and they kept calling and I dont own a timeshare. I believe its a SCAM.
