Don't have a student loan don't know why they are calling

Rec'd call on 10/22/13. Did not pick up. Message on answering ma****e was from someone named Barbara from EOCCA. She was requesting personal information about someone named "Joshua X" and a student loan/debt concern. We don't know any Joshua and no-one in our family has ever had a student loan. Posters on other phone websites are reporting tons of these calls. Company apparently is real (Collection Company of America based out of Boston, MA). Not sure if they are legit or not.

The were inquiring about a loan and I told them that is was already taken care of but they wouldn't listen and the s****ed threatening me so I told them not to call me anymore.

He called me and threatened me with a garnishment, I owe a debt and wants to pay it but he wants to shake me down so he can make commssion, beware of this person he is a liar and a munipulator

BEING ABUSIVE TO INNOCENT PEOPLE WILL BE GETTING THEM SUED!On Tuesday the **** called Kurt Miller at CCA calls at 7:40am & wakes me up.I've been patiently telling them for almost 2 years that the person they're calling doesn't even live in the country anymore (much less at this private cell # they're calling!)  Last week the guy said "he wasn't inclined to believe me".I told him it's the (verifiable!) truth and being an ****** doesn't c****e the FACTS!So now it's on!I've filed DONOTCALL & Eastern Mass BBB complaints.  Looked into FTC & FCC complaint (don't think FCC applies). Going to look into filing complaint with MA Attorney General as well.Wrote the company a CEASE & DESIST letter.  (Some of the laws require that communication be done in writing). I explained to them a***n that the person they are calling moved out of the country in Aug. '07 & this is now a personal cell phone for a different person.  Just because they don't like that fact doesn't mean it's not the truth!  This also keeps leaving messages for this other person and always says "if you continue listening to this message you admit you are THIS PERSON".  Just because the guy claims that listening to the messages he keeps leaving on MY private cell phone makes me responsible for the debt- a***n does not mean that is true. "it is my belief that your conduct of personal attacks a***nst an innocent party clearly cons***utes violations of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15 U.S.C 1692, et seq.  & State laws."I'm actually almost looking forward to the next call so I can sue them for more violations!Kurt Miller has brought this on himself by being such a ****, so early in the morning.

Keep calling for an EX_Roomate who doesn't even live in the country anymore.  I have told them this # is no longer a valid contact # for her and yet they wont' stop calling ME.  It's no longer her phone #, I made it my personal cell after she moved out.S****ing with DONOTCALL & BBB, but if they keep calling will have to resort to cease-desist letter from Todd Friedman's law firm.

dear mary, without providing the company with an alter number sadly they are allowed to contact you at work. if you want to calls to stop to your job you need to give them another number to call. and yes they are able to garnish your wages. depending on how much you make, your paycheck will have a deduction of 10% - 25% before taxes and another other deductions (medical,dental,401k) are taken out of your check. and depending on how many times you get paid a month depends on how much they get a month. and the garnishment doesnt stop until the full balance is paid off. 95% of the time it is more than a monthly payment arrangment. best thing for  you to do is get on a voluntary payment arragment.

I was called for a numerous amount of days at my place of work.  I refused to give them my home number and they threatened to garnish my wages, can they do that?  I got a call on Friday and this woman was trying to get my home phone number and I refused to give it to her, she s****ed yelling on the phone and all I understood was so****ing about garnishment of wages.  I tried to get her name and phone number and she would not give me any of that information.  Yes I owe a debt but does that mean that they have the right to call me at my place of work and threaten me?  I was not given the name of the company or anything.  All I was given was a name of a worker and this phone number along with an extension number.

dear Gil,since you seem to know the laws so well, look up the fdcpa laws. it is a***nst the law to disclose a business matter on a ma****e and for the reason of the call. the only details allowed are the contact # reference # and if so wanted to name of the person calling! look that one up! stop being ignorant and call them back. YOU OWE MONEY!!!

CCA at 1-800-896-4539 called my cell, and left message to call back, but who ever called did not leave a name, but jus a reference No. and not information on what was the call about.Sorry, we are no longer inocent by stands, unless you disclose your informaiton and provide crystal clear detail, I'll see you in "Small Court" you will pay for all my time wasted dealing with you, who ever you are.
