They told me they were the electricity company and that the electricity to my business would be disconnected within the next hour if I didn't pay a "deposit on a new commercial meter that was being mandated by law". They said they were Entergy and that they sent a bill a couple months ago and since I hadn't paid it I was being disconnected. They instructed me to go to a Pay Center and pay a ~$490 overdue amount in cash and then send them the confirmation number. I knew it was a scam when I called the electricity company back and they said there was no such fee and no disconnection notice on my account, and that the telephone numbers they called me from were not affiliated with Entergy at all. The other number they called me from is 1-800-922-0204.
