This is a scam. It's a company that poses as the Stanislaus County Bad Checks Res***ution Program in California and calls you to threaten with criminal prosecution as "outlined by the official notice". But the automatic voice message prompts you to stay on the line to make payment or "schedule class". Then she tells you to hold while they "retrieve your case info". (Based on what?)Remember, the only thing this company has on you is what is available in a public phone book, like the White Pages. So she comes back with "Our records indicate that case number blah-blah-blah belongs to someone by the name of (and here she s-p-e-l-l-s your last name as might be found on the phone book). If this is your name or case number, then press 1. If it's not correct press 2."Of course, I press 2 and what happens? They loop me back to "Our records indicate that case number blah-blah..."They just want you to press 2. But if you do, then they immediately tell you "To pay your charge press pound (#)."Assuredly, if you do that, they're going to charge your phone number account for so****ing you presumably ordered via phone and acknowledge with #.DON'T DO IT!!They're also calling from another 800-number: 800-931-9805. Same voice. Same message. But they're posing as the San Joaquin County Bad Checks Res***ution Program.Forewarned is forearmed.

got call from automated system stated it was san joaquin bad check restoration program have received mail from company it comes from az not ca company says they are issuing a warrant over a a bank error that returned 3or 4 checks totaling 40 from safeway demanding i pay nearly 900 dollars
