Like LR above, received messages from "(first name) with "(unitelligible name) Energy Company" indicating that I "need to call right away" regarding our electric account.
They're a sales boiler room for energy resellers. Looked up www.AGRGroupinc.com. Their web site states that they are "..The premier full service sales and marketing company for energy suppliers. We are expert in every aspect of customer acquisition, lead generation, customer service and promotion in the deregulated energy industry." Their byline is "If we can't sell it ***ody can"Their corporate offices are at: 13902 Harbor Boulevard, Suite 2C, Garden Grove, Ca.92843 800-457-1181. Matthew Judkin is the CEO and Founder. Herb Zerden is CFO and co-Founder. Adolfo Quintero is COO and co-FounderBeth Shaffer-Ludwig is the Vice President of Business Development. I think EVERYONE should give her a call at 800-457-1181 and ask her how she feels about getting all these phone calls.
this is a scam based company that has no manners or proffesionalism over the phone. they stole my idenity and signed me up for prmgs i never heard of don't talk to them
Keep getting calls from 1800-968-3503 with the message to call them back about "my natural gas". As they are calling me at my business in a large complex that has no natural gas, I can only imagine that this is a very persistent and annoying scam.
Cindy from Sparks Energy left message regarding my energy bill. Left phone number 1-800-968-3503 Ext. 8837
i actually work for the company. we work on behalf of major energy suppliers. it is a benefit to the customer most of the time depending on what area your in or what utility you have. It is not a scam in any way. These are programs put in place by your utility companies as well as the public utilities commission in your state
I got a call from 800-968-3503 from Julie Davis from Spark Energy stating the same as already talked on this forum, that they need to talk to me about my pg&e account. They say that it is with the government regulation that they offer 8% off on our natural gas bill from pg&e, but they were extremely aggressive in trying to sign me up for this deal. When I probed them about it a bit more, they said that it is actually so****ing I have to qualify for, therefore I should give them my pg&e account number so they can see if I do qualify. When I declined to offer my account number, they had their supervisor speak with me, who was even more pushy to get my pg&e account number so they can see if I "qualify". I ended up yelling at the supervisor and ****ing up.
Call from AGR claiming to work for Con-Ed solutions. Wanted me to lock in for their 'lower rate" but refused to send me any information in writing. Insisted I must sign up first and could cancel later. Even though I insisted on seeing information to discuss with my spouse first, they put on a manager who simply spouted the same insistent drivel. No information up front in writing...didn't I want to save money? Wouldn't my husband want to save money? They claim to be sending me an email and will call back tomorrow. I hope they do so that I can get more information that I need to report them for illegally calling me. I am on DNC lists.
Received a call to lower gas prices and lock in for one or two years. I asked them to send me so****ing in writing and was informed that info would be sent when we signed up. Told them I needed it in advance before making a decision after a few minutes of trying to convince me to sign up with him and I refused unless I saw it first, he ***g up on me. Caller ID listed number as 800-968-3503.
See 800notes.com for 602-516-1062 (above 800 number was call back number). Caller id "Agr" 602-516-1062 asking about whether I want lower energy costs as a Pacific Gas & Electric Company customer (some ***ue response about how they got my number). Agr stands for All Global Resources, an outsource for phone calls, hired by - in this case - Spark Energy Gas, LP to get consumers to switch from PG&E to this other provider. I refused to provide personal information as I had not initiated the call. When I didn't want to switch, I was transferred to male supervisor with call back number 800-968-3503. He walked me through www.pge.com to "Core Gas Aggregation - Core Transport Agents (CPA's) to show list of gas providers. His employer uses PG&E utilities' lines and employees but apparently gas is provided through Sparkinstead of PG&E for cost per therm savings (pitch was that it is up to 8% off supply cost for "immediate savings", stats show lower since Jan '08). Spark was listed on PG&E website with disclaimer at bottom re: "accu****, quality...usefulness of ... goods or services offered". AGI Repsaid Spark's name would show up on my PG&E invoice, on "Gas Account Detail" page showing Spark (instead of PG&E) Gas Procurement Cost and rate schedule. Bottom line is that it was less than a penny per therm savings, which was misstated back to me and I clarified to him. The concentration was on my qualifications, including residential user, not business. I am on do notcall list. When I said it wasn't worth my time to switch and then check this out, perhaps needing to cancel or switch a***n, rep said, "Do you understand this is being taped for your protection?" (not my tape) and I was reminded I get 10 business days to c****e my mind. I still refused. I called PG&E after reviewing PG&E's website "Community Choice Aggregation" including its frequently asked question (FAQ) page. PG&E rep explained that The Core Transport Agents (Spark is one) are charged a transmission fee by PG&E for using PG&E equipment of approx $10-15/month or more depending upon therms used. Apparently, this would be in addition to the ["lower"] cost of gas and I would only know this from examining my invoice after already signing up. Invoice would be available more than 10 days after signing up so too late for an easy cancellation. I didn't know to ask this question of the phone rep for Spark, but why would PG&E give free use to Spark of distributionsystem, measuring system for usage, send the invoices, and respond to emergencies without some fee and why would Spark eat the transmission fee? It looks like fees could be imposed for swit****g energy suppliers more than one time annually, but consumer can go back to PG&E w/i the year. It could be that PG&E imposes no fee for returning to them but does the other suppliercharge a fee? FAQ and answers imply there may also be some fees involved to c****e suppliers (at least after the initial sign up). There is more info about energy supply on www.cpuc.ca.gov and I don't know if Core Transport Agents can purchase energy (gas/electicity) from the consumer's energy supplier at a lower flat fee than the supplier charges to the consumer, and completely pass along the savings. It doesn't make sense. My opinion and****umptions (do not know for sure): 1) the energy "supplier" hiring AGI to telemarket would pass on the utilities' transmission fee to consumer which may offset any savings; 2) could be transfer fees imposed by the company for swit****g later; 3) there may be necessity of future phone calls to straighten it out; 4) that AGI is paid for each sign up without regard to subsequent cancellations and this company works nationally; and 5) a****ential customer called by this telemarketer will get to speak to someone practiced in answering objections and they may try to use the utilities' website to****ure the consumer.
I have received a call from 1 800 968 3503 who said they were calling on behalf of Con Edison in regards to my UI account. Are they are telemarketers using Con Edison name to scam people? Rate offered is lower than Con Ed stated rate. The number they give to call back is 1-800-968-3503 (ext 8833). The number on the caller ID is different 1-602-516-1061. Per calling says his name is Ray Serrano
I have received a call from 1 800 968 3503 who said they were calling on behalf of Direct Energy in regards to my natural gas & hydro account, but I don't have either. I suspect they are telemarketers using direct energy's name to scam people.
they call to enroll accounts for a better rate for utility bills.
