Collection Agency

I've never given any information to CBCS and I found on my bank account statement yes****ay that they're taking money out! I don't know who they are! What should I do? Please help!

This number called my home today; voice mail picked up.  Hold music, followed by some operator asking for "Michael".  I have NO idea who they are looking for -- no one in my house is named "Michael" or anything close to it.

I must luck out because I have not talked to these people. They call 2-3 times /day but never leave a message.I do not answer numbers not in my contact list so they must not want to talk to bad since they don't even bother identify who they are.

These people have also called me at my ***her's house -- where I haven't lived in 20 years.  Nice to harass a 60-year-old gentleman when he tells them I don't live there and haven't for 20 years.  Now they have my cell phone number (that he doesn't even have) and so with the wonder that is GoogleVoice...they're getting blocked

I am out of debt and these people keep calling me!I hate toll free numbers.  I put my number on the do-not-call registry as well.

This number called my parents' home phone number and left this phone number and a name and said they were "my work" and wanted my phone number, which my mother would not give.  I have had a different last name since 1980 and have not lived at that address or had that phone number since prior to that.  I am an independent contractor and knew there was no way the company I am contracted with would call there and not have my phone number, since we are in constant contact.  I am not aware of any bills outstanding that these people could possibly be calling me for and have no idea how they could possibly have gotten my parent's number and seems beyond s***my and like a major scam to me.

Keeps calling prepaid cell phone will not leave message.

Called me at 6:58 am.  I was half asleep and didn't catch who they said it was exactly, but I just screamed and cursed them out for waking me up until they ***g up on me....

S****ed calling at 5am and I told them this and they said it was because I have a Michigan number. I explained that I lived in Nevada and was in the Military, but they said I shouldn't have a Michigan number than.

I received a call from them as well.  Agreed with all others that their collectors are rude.  Even the message from a live person was rude and demanding in tone.  I fell in a house I was looking at with a realtor.  There was a missing stair tread in an unlit ba*****t stair well.  I have been having a tough time getting insurance company information from the home's  owner.  I explained this to the operator and she didn't care and told me I had to pay them so****ing.  I told her that I received the initial bills for the ER visit less then 30 days ago and they were just going to have to wait and the hospital would be paid directly and they can work out any fees with them.When she attempted to turn the *****s I asked "Are you recording this call?" She responded "Yes."  I then said "Good.  I suggest you familiarize yourself with the fair dept collection act of the United States.  I, as a debtor, am demanding that from this point ****her all correspondence is to be in writing mailed to whatever address you have on record.  Do not under any cir***stance attempt to call me at any number that you have on file.  I will be saving any future message you leave and forward them on to my State Attorney General for disciplinary action."This has worked in the past.  We'll see with this comapny soon enough.

Yes, this is CBCS Collections. They call me 3-4 times daily, I mean EVERY SINGLE DAY. I do owe a ***dred dollars to my hospital from having my daughter this past May, however have been unemployed since February of this year, and so is my husband. The person I last talked to was VERY rude, she even ***g up on me, after I explained & she confirmed that I have been sending $10/month to them to go towards my debt..She then said "THis is not acceptable, you MUST pay at least $25/month. I explained once a***n we can barely pay the bills we have now, so she should be happy they're even getting $10/month from me. I know I owe money, but I am getting VERY annoyed with them ****ing up my phone ever 4 hours. I'm stressed as it is with all our other money issues, I dont need them adding to it. Is this Legal to be harrased on a daily basis???

I have had the same problems! Refusal by the "company" to send me any information about my medical bill.  I called the hospital directly and asked them why I had never been called before my ER bill was sent to a collection agency.  They claimed that they had never sent my ER bill, or anything else to an outside collection agency and I should never have gotten such a call!  But I was at least able to get a copy of my bill and pay for it over the phone directly. The amount which the hospital claimed I owed on the ER bill (versus the collection agency) also differed.  The amounts were close but not the same.  I continue to get calls from the same number claiming that this bill is not paid.  Very odd.....

I received a cal today indicating that I have not paid a medical bill from the emergency room.  I did in fact go into the emergency room 4 months ago but have taken care of the bill and everything****ociated with it.  They asked me to confirm the last four digits of my social security number (which were in fact correct) but i refused and asked for me to confirm my birthdate (which was incorrect) and i refused.  I asked them very politely to mail me all the bill necessary and I will take care of them.  Prior to calling anyone back, I quickly found this website and noticed they seemed out of the ordinary so before I began my call with her I asked if she minded if I recorded the call which she did not object to.  I have the recording saved on my computer in case anything comes of this.

Received call today from 800-968-6906, the lady indicated that she was with CBCS and was calling to collect a debt.  The debt was a $24.00 late fee from Blockbuster from back in April of 2008.  She asked me to take care of the bill today and I indicated to her that I would not give any personal info over the phone.  I asked her to mail me some do***entation and she indicated that they have twice sent so****ing to me in the mail.  I have never received anything from CBCS.  I told her that and she said that I would have to send a handwritten letter to Columbus Ohio requesting do***entation.  Oh and by the way I paid that late fee to Blockbuster from which I still rent movies.  If it wasn't paid would I be able to rent from them.

I've been getting calls left on my ma****e off and on for over a year.  Didn't respond to any of them.  If it says toll free or unavailable, I don't pick up anyway.

This is a medical bill collector.  I had a guy call and get very nasty with me. I explained that I have never been without full coverage insurance and have no bills and requested copies of what he showed I owed.  He refused to agree to mail me anything and told me that I had received many bills regarding the matter.  He told me he would give me 30 days to pay the bill, that was the best he could do.  I told him to pay it and ***g up.  I have still not received any copies of what he claims that I owe.

I have been getting random calls. This number called and asked for my last 4 digits of my social security number and my address and birth date. Wouldn't identify themselves so I just ***g up.
