Leave a CommentI received a text message saying to call this number due to a credit union service being frozen--text message is supposed to be a "gateway regional alert." This is a TOTAL SCAM and after I tried calling the number, once I blocked my information first, number was disconnected. I have gotten multiple text messages saying the same thing, and it is SO annoying. These f-ers need to get served.
recieved the same text message and tried to call back to see why they were trying to charge an old account and it said it wasn't a working number. how do i report this?

This is one of the scammers's numbers. They sent me a message "customer issue, account frozen" pretending to be US Bank and their number wont take calls... I guess beyond just panicking these messages are meant to compel the target into signing into his/her internet banking account to check whether account is still active [this could be a mistake as they could be trying to record your password or break into your account- this is a stimulus] The best thing to do would be to call the bank and possibly arrange to c****e passwords. More than anything, these scam messages and calls are a reminder that your money is not secure unless you stay on top of the game in terms of security.
