I have been getting calls from this number.

From the things written, it sounds like these guys are a scam collection agency from overseas using "Magic Jack" to get a U.S. number and appear to be calling from inside the U.S.  This type of scam agency is typically collecting on an Online Pay Day Loan where the debtor provided all their information online (SSN, Address, Work Number, etc.) and the Online PayDay Company sold or gave this information to the highest bidder.  Beware: online PayDay Loan companies are the easiest way to get your iden***y stolen.The good news is that, these scam agencies are ****ing smoke and will never do any of the things they threaten to do.  The bad news is, you can sue them till you are blue in the face and never get a dime. If you have questions about other collection agencies, talk to an FDCPA attorney in your area. I used Richard Meier (www.meierllc.com) for the other collection agencies that were bothering me and he not only got them to stop calling me but he made them pay me money for what they did - and I did not have to pay Attorney Meier anything.

When you reported them to the FBI how did you go about doing it?  Did you fill out a form online or what?  I live in Kansas and just had them contact me through a friend putting me down as a reference!  I am NOT HAPPY!  I reported them to the FCC!

I have emailed the FBI and explained the situation, after one of the idiots sent me an email in all caps trying to play themselved off as an FBI agent. The have many numbers and yes American names. This is just a scare tactic. Ignore them. I c****ed my cell number so they cannot bother me anymore there. Explain to your work what is going on and see if they will help. Mine did. This is a scam and fraud and they are trying to scare you in order to get personal information, so they can get money from you. Please report them to your local police department, FBI and work. Also, of you go to [email protected] they have warning's all over their website about these guys. So check woth your loval FBI and make them aware.

I get the same thing but they will not tell me were they are from and they I keep tell them who you are they will not say anything so how do i keep them from call me

I got the same call today at home which I answered and a message was left at work. Same voice on message.he  said his name was James Brown. He knew my first and last name and wanted me to verify the last 4 digits of my Social security which I said I would not conferm and to send so****ing in the mail.

I received the same type of phone call.  They called my job once, I spoke with them, they also have numbers that are in Florida.  They said they were going to give me so much s**t, that I would lose my job.  They would not tell me the name of the company they were calling from, everyone has a foreign accent but Americanized names, even their last name.  I told them that I would need them to send me paperwork in the mail on their letterhead with the information about the delinquent account.  They told me they didn't have to do "s**t" and that where they were calling from was none of my business....now how do I get rid of them since they seem to be calling from all over leaving threatening messages, even at work?  they left a number of 804-223-0429

Sounds very like some scare tactics.What information did they tell you?More importantly, what personal information did you give them. If you gave ANY personal information (who you bank with, your utility companies, what your usernames, passwords, PINs, account numbers, card numbers, etc.) contact the providers of those things and explain the situation. They'll help.

A person with a foreign accent called and said that I would be arrested for fraud if I did not cooperate. Can you tell me who they are. He never told me who was filing fraud a***nst and if I did not cooperate he would have me picked up infront of my ***rs and taken away.
