Today at 9:59am, I received a phone call on my company cell phone from 805-266-7104. It was a recording stating it was from our credit card bank. The recording said that my credit card has been locked due to unauthorized usage. It told me to press 1 to unlock it. I did not believe this to be true, so I didn’t press anything, but ***g up. I looked at my caller ID and tried to call the phone number back from the company desk phone. I got a recording, “The number you dialed is not in service.” I called the customer service number on the back of the card and informed them of the call. They said my account is not locked and the call was to obtain information about the account. There has not been any unauthorized attempt to use the credit card.

Scam...said my Mastercard had been locked. Called Mastercard and they said it was a scam.

Scammer. I got a call from this number and an "unavailable" number a few hours apart stating that my Mastercard account had been locked, and that I should press 1 for****istance. Needless to say I ***g up. Called the bank, nothing wrong with my account. I called this number from a blocked phone and got a recording that says the number is out of service. So either it's their recording or they are "s****ing" (false caller ID) an out of service number when they call. Either way, don't give these scammers a shred of information.

Phishing scam. Recorded message says my "Mastercard debit account" has been locked. I don't have a Mastercard.
