Mike Hunt Today at 9:59am, I received a phone call on my company cell phone from 805-266-7104. It was a recording stating it was from our credit card bank. The recording said that my credit card has been locked due to unauthorized usage. It told me to press 1 to unlock it. I did not believe this to be true, so I didn’t press anything, but ***g up. I looked at my caller ID and tried to call the phone number back from the company desk phone. I got a recording, “The number you dialed is not in service.” I called the customer service number on the back of the card and informed them of the call. They said my account is not locked and the call was to obtain information about the account. There has not been any unauthorized attempt to use the credit card.
