I just got a call telling me I needed to pay $487 or face over $7,000 in court fines and my social security number will be black listed preventing me from taking loans out in the future he had the last 4 of my social and my home address. when i questioned why i had a lawsuit filed a***nst me and why i had to pay anything he told me that i would be arrested. He had a heavy Indian accent.

Received a call from a thickly accented man who identified himself as 'Peter Morris' from the CA State Atty Office. He said that I fraudulently applied for a payday loan, that it had been deposited to my account, and that when the lender tried to debit my account to collect, the transaction had been declined. He tried to get me to pay $400+ to settle the account and said that the company wasn't interested in that money they wanted the $7000+ in fines. He gave a CA bar # as 9876.
