Claimed to have a room for rent on an app called “SpareRoom” . They refused to video call and wrote in broken English. Feeling very foolish for falling for the scam. I sent a deposit through Zelle. Used the names “Macey Jones” and “Lisa Doney” on the app and Zelle.

No one talk or left message. I dial # back and ring, ring and ring and no one answer

Jesus The number came up Cheifland, FL. I wouldn’t say anything and put them on mute when I answered. A pleasant male voice, sounding African-American, said, “Is Carolyn there?” I said nothing, I could hear all kinds of other calls in the background too going on, like he was in a cubicle.
