got a call from this number, message gave 877-772-4309 as a call back number. researched and appears to be a cell number in India, heavy accent hard to understand, supposedly to complete Social Security app. They hope you don't look at caller ID to verify callback number, phishing of the worst kind

Calls were made to my cell phone.  I wasn't able to answer.  Didn't recognize number, so I checked here.  Why can't we stop these types of perps?

Got a call from a guy that wanted me to call him back about my recent social security benefits claim filing. He said he needed some info so that they could s**** the process. I smell a scam trying to get me to divulge my ss number. The call-back number was in Kansas City, Mo.

I received the same message.  No information given when you call back.  Is this really a SCAM??  Appears to be so.

It's someone personally calling you from Social Security.

Social Security will always send a letter if they want you to contact them.They said this is so you can tell if its a scam.Report them as this is a federal crime.

I called the social security administration and they said its a scam.

This is a legitimate number.  Someone from your local Social security office may be trying to reach you.  It comes through from the Kansas number though and not always the local number.

This caller identified themselves as social security.  Is this legitimate?

I called this number and recorded message said, "This is the Social Securtiy Adminstration in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone has attempted to contact you, no action is needed. I answered the call and a woman asked to speak with my husband and said she would call back it was been 10 days since she called.

I also had this number call me and no message all back and got a recording very odd i would think .......they called my number at least 4 times today.........whats up with that??????????????and took away my minutes on cell phone.

I also received the same phone call, called back and received the same message. No further information was given. kind of odd.

I picked up the phone and said*****o, then I heard a beeping sound.  I ***g up, A few minutes later, that phone # called me a few minutes later and a***n right after that.  I am very angry, and they did not leave a message, when they called back. They called a 3rd time, when I was writing this memo.

I called this number and recorded message said, "This is the Social Securtiy Adminstration in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone has attempted to contact you, no action is needed. Someone will contact you at a later time."

Two calls from this number today 1510 & 1517, no message left.  Unknown number to me.
