Wanted to aduit my social security account working part time confirm my address with out thinking gave them my address

Minnesota this # called me on Saturday the20th and hung up after 2 rings it said it was. From ssa

To verify information, and set me up with benefits that I was eligible for, from someone else’s records.

Called at 5:30 pm said social security had called earlier and I looked up # noted as SS scam as soon as she said Social Security office, I told her no she was a scammer. I had already looked her up.????

They were callin about a Ssdi application

Only let it ring once. No message. I have recently applied so I don't know if it's legit or spam.

He wanted to confirm my personal information from the application to include my SSN parents and grandparents and place of birth only info he could give me was the notes i put on my application which were correct

Telling me my account has been suspended when I don't even draw SS.

Man said he was SSI wanted information so I could get my back pay owed to me, he knew all my info, don't know if it was legit, said his name was Brandon Kendrick

Talked to woman that said that my wife would stop receiving her SS checks if I didn't fill out the information being mailed to me. Was kind of rude. My wife has had a stroke and can't talk or sign any forms. The letter was sent because my wife had received a thirteenth retirement check from her retirement job as a teacher's aid. The extra check was paid back in 2019.

That she had been assigned to my file and needed to confirm info to process my file. She called back. Confirmed ligit. Social security file online was updated next day with info we discussed.

I returned the call and a voice message said they would call me back

Said they were ssi

They said they were with Social sercurity and wanted me to verify my address due to mail being returned to them but they took my address and hung up kinda weird and unprofessional dont know if it was scam

They left a voicemail claiming to be the social security office calling to read me a notice and left a call back number 1-800-772-1213

Martin I received a phone call on my cell phone. I answered. The person on the other end said they were with the SSA. Not thinking about it, I went over the information. I didn't even think about it being a Saturday. I was worried, but it actually is the Workload Support Unit for the SSA in KC, MO.

got a call from this number, message gave 877-772-4309 as a call back number. researched and appears to be a cell number in India, heavy accent hard to understand, supposedly to complete Social Security app. They hope you don't look at caller ID to verify callback number, phishing of the worst kind

Calls were made to my cell phone.  I wasn't able to answer.  Didn't recognize number, so I checked here.  Why can't we stop these types of perps?

Got a call from a guy that wanted me to call him back about my recent social security benefits claim filing. He said he needed some info so that they could start the process. I smell a scam trying to get me to divulge my ss number. The call-back number was in Kansas City, Mo.

I received the same message.  No information given when you call back.  Is this really a SCAM??  Appears to be so.

It's someone personally calling you from Social Security.

Social Security will always send a letter if they want you to contact them.They said this is so you can tell if its a scam.Report them as this is a federal crime.

I called the social security administration and they said its a scam.

This is a legitimate number.  Someone from your local Social security office may be trying to reach you.  It comes through from the Kansas number though and not always the local number.

This caller identified themselves as social security.  Is this legitimate?

I called this number and recorded message said, "This is the Social Securtiy Adminstration in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone has attempted to contact you, no action is needed. I answered the call and a woman asked to speak with my husband and said she would call back it was been 10 days since she called.

I also had this number call me and no message all back and got a recording very odd i would think .......they called my number at least 4 times today.........whats up with that??????????????and took away my minutes on cell phone.

I also received the same phone call, called back and received the same message. No further information was given. kind of odd.

I picked up the phone and said hello, then I heard a beeping sound.  I hung up, A few minutes later, that phone # called me a few minutes later and again right after that.  I am very angry, and they did not leave a message, when they called back. They called a 3rd time, when I was writing this memo.

I called this number and recorded message said, "This is the Social Securtiy Adminstration in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone has attempted to contact you, no action is needed. Someone will contact you at a later time."

Two calls from this number today 1510 & 1517, no message left.  Unknown number to me.
