08453512290  I was contacted 3 times yes****ay and a***n this morning and after checking the comments on this site decided to get in touch with A & L on the telephone number on my statement.  After security questions I was then put through to the fraud department who were very polite and helpful, and was told that because i had made a transaction yes****ay to someone that i don,t normally deal with they needed to call me to see if it was a genuine transaction.I am very grateful that they are so vigilant. Hope this has been a help to you all

Definitely not fradulent. I have been ignoring calls from this number as they appeared to originate from Vietnam. I then found that my A&L card had been blocked when trying to use it online so I called customer services who said that the fraud department had been trying to call me.

This is defiantly fraudulante I just got the same thing this morning and called A&L part of the Santandar group directly from a number I know. They checked with the fraud department and confirmed that they do use automated services but that this call wasn't them and they wouldn't asked for details by automated. If in doubt donate dumb and call that number always call the customer service number of your bank they can then check with fraud.It's not rocket science people and to the person that doesn't know A&L are part of Santandar group you need to keep up with the news and your bank lol

I've had  same thing. I think it should actually be 08453512290. It is the anti-fraud department at A&L / Santander, but for some incomprehensible reason it is displaying as an international number +8453512290. As +84 is the international code for Vietnam this obviously sets alarm bells ringing (and why I didn't answer the call). I've told them to sort themselves out so a valid UK number is displayed.

+84 53 512290Keep getting spam phone calls from this number claiming its a security breach of an Alliance and Leicester account.Checked the area code and its coming from a Quang Tri province of Vietnam!Very highly suspect, need to get the **** number blocked as its called about 15 times today.
