08453512290  I was contacted 3 times yes****ay and a***n this morning and after checking the comments on this site decided to get in touch with A & L on the telephone number on my statement.  After security questions I was then put through to the fraud department who were very polite and helpful, and was told that because i had made a transaction yes****ay to someone that i don,t normally deal with they needed to call me to see if it was a genuine transaction.I am very grateful that they are so vigilant. Hope this has been a help to you all

Robin It is Barclaycard Fraud Prevention.  If in doubt you can verify the number on the Barclaycard website.

it would be either 0044845 or +44845 or 0845, not +84, uk number, should b egg, they phone you, automated security system checking on transactions outside uk, nice touch by them, jus phone u 2 check if legit

I am getting automated calls from this number at least 7 times a day , and because its automated i cant tell them to STOP.

Keep getting this automated call from this number but it tells me to press any key to continue.... scam?

Thankyou for leaving your comments! I just recieved a call from this number claiming to be an automated service for Santander regarding "fraudulent activity" with my account. The frightening thing was that they resembled actual transactions on my account. Hmmmmmm
