Just got the same call from an "Ann Jones" on voicemail claiming to represent some law firm. Couldn't make it out (Reason, Reamon?). Woman even gave a "reference number". Thanks for the posts. Will investigate and report accordingly. Sounds like a scam.

Had a missed call from an "Unknown" number.  The voicemail stated that the call was in reference to a legal matter and that I needed to call them before noon tomorrow eastern time and to reference a file number.  I called back and got a voicemail for Ann Jones.  I left a message so state that I called, but then got to looking online and thank God I did before I gave them any information.

I got the same message on the my Voice mail, from an Ann Jones, stating it was some leagel matter. She said the same to me, but funny part is I haven'y written any bad checks. Thought possibly somone stole my iden***y, thank god I tried looking up this "law firm" and found all this stuff about it being a scam. People these days have no m****s.

Got a call from "Ann Jones" stateing that I had a check that had been returned from "......" in the amount of $184.60. The place she referenced is a gas station that I do use and have written checks to but none have ever been returned due to insufficent funds. She even provided me with an account number and said that if I paid a portion of it that the rest would be forgiven. Be aware that this is just one of many scams thats popping up everywhere.

Allison Ortiz called with stating that I owed for a bad check. She was able to tell me who I banked with and the last 4 digits of my SS#.  I was very careful not to give her more info than she already had. She was rude and refused to tell me the location where this so called transaction took place. She told me I had until noon the next day to let her know how I wanted to handle the matter.  She gave me the Money Gram Info and the name of the law firm.  I ***g up and called my bank only to find out that the check she referenced had in fact cleared and I owed no money on it.  WATCH OUT!  Times are hard and people are desparate.
