Scam

i picked up the phone answered it and they asked for me told them i wasnt here and to leave  a message and they ***g up

Told me it was for my capital one credit card...?

Asked if the mother of my deceased spouse lived at my address.  When I said she didn't live here, they immediately ***g up.  I feel this is some sort of scam on the elderly.  Tried to get a listing for the number, but couldn't find anything.  Would appreciate any information so I can alert my late spouse's mother.
