Possible scam texts

I keep getting text messages from this phone number requesting money for a grant that I supposedly won. Every time I give them money so****ing else happens that they ask for more money and say I'm going to lose it if I don't and I don't want to lose the money I already put into it so I give more money I'm getting tired of doing it so I want to know if they're a scam

This number keeps asking me for money for a grant that's supposed to be one and I've been after this grant for 3 years and they keep asking for me money and they keep making excuses why they asked me for more money I need to know if they're a scam
