SPAM - Takhar Group - a group of foreigners seeking to extort &/or steal iden***y & credit from unsuspecting Americans.

Had an investigator research the TAKHAR GROUP and a**** other things, found this in a routine internet search: http://www.debtcollectorreview.com/takhar-group NEVER answer these calls. DELETE all msgs. They are an offs**** group seeking to extort money from naive Americans.

SPAM - Call from Liberia or Libya or Mozambique or some other god-forsaken African hinterland seeking to extract money from Americans.

SPAM Pretty much the same as many others. Just ignore - and am getting Call Block.

Yall should download call blocking like I did. Blocks all unwanted calls. Also blocks calls before it goes to voicemail, and ****s up before it has a chance to ring. I have had it a few weeks and I love it! A must have!

Won't stop calling! Told them this is a business cell phone. To please stop calling! They said no cause they have the registered to some client that owes money.

A ****-up on a call to my cell phone. SPAM They've called many times even tho' my number is on the DO NOT CALL List.

Call to mobile. Msg: "Urgent call back to some number" spam.

Called mobile phone a***n 6-days later. No msg. Only a ****-up. No other info.

Random call to my cell; because number was not known nor in my directory, it went to Voice Mail. No msg was left.

I Have been getting calls from this number repeatedly 2  times a day--WHEN i finally answered they ***g up ai would like ro know who has been calling.  THanks

Called me a***n and a***n on my cell despite that they swore they removed my number from the list!!  (Asking me if I was Juanita Rivas.)  First, I am DEAF.  Secondly, I am a white American gal and have no knowledge of any Juanita Rivas.  According to the interpreter on my video phone (who signed my conversation to this caller and translated her comments to American Sign Language), this caller was a woman with an Indian accent.  She said she'd remove the name from the list.  I continued to blast that I was told the same thing before and she ***g up on me in the middle of my blasting.  Nice....

I just s****ed getting calls from these people.  I decided to answer the phone when they called this evening and it was some woman with an accent asking for someone who doesn't live here.  I told her it was the wrong number and she ***g up.  I'm sure they'll be calling a***n later today and probably tomorrow and the next day as well.

1-2 calls a day from this number.  No one spoke when I did answer. I told them to quit calling - they had a wrong number. I haven't answered the last week.  Still they persist.

These people keep leaving a threaten phone message and doesn't say who they are or who it's for!! Or what it's about!!

I am having the same issue involving BOMC! I recieved a letter from Penn Credit Corp. stating pay them money or get reported. I've never ordered from this childrens book club (I have no children) and have never and would never in my life sign up for a book club! I've had yelling matches with these people telling them to provide proof that i've authorized charges..The response was we can't do that, but how else would this company get your name, address, and phone number if you did'nt order these books? I responded with..There's a million ways to obtain this very basic info but lets just go to the obvious an say there's this little thing called the phone book! She had no response other than "well that seems alittle rediculous mam" I knew at that point I was working with chimps and just told her they wer'nt getting a dime from me and ***g-up.

I got calls from this number several times and the one time they called and left a message and said they demand that i call them back saying that i owed like 80 dollars on books from over 7 years ago why would they be trying to get it from me now if i did owe it but i told them when i called back i sent the books back and they said they were nonreturnable

Received a call from them yes****ay (19th April 2010) saying that I owe some 90$ for children's book of the month club and they are a collection agency trying to settle that debt with me without letting it go on my credit report. I have never even heard of the Children's BOMC that they claimed I owe money to. The guy from Takhar Collection Services (TCS) http://www.takhargroup.com/ kept convincing me to just pay them the money via credit card on phone and they would not ruin my credit history. If I failed to do so, they would report non-payment to credit agencies and it would show up on my credit reports for next 7 years. This is pure extortion. I do not owe a single penny to Children's BOMC. So when I asked him to produce any proof of me owing any money they said that they cannot give me that information. They also claimed that this money is payable because I had signed some kind of 2 year contract with Children's BOMC which I failed to pay. Finally I ***g up the phone and searched online to realize there are tons of people who have filed scam complaints a***nst Takhar group and Children's BOMC both. The same day he called me back a***n 7 times. I did not pick up.

Over the years I have had numerous debt collectors call regarding s woman named Mary Flannigan (totally unknown to anyone at my address).  Some how these debt collectors seem to have our phone number.  Normally when we tell them there is no one at this address by that name they supposedly remove our number and are gone.  This time around the clowns are down right rude and refuse to act in a responsible manner.I hope they catch this woman and put her in jail for a long stretch.

I work overnights, but while trying to sleep between shifts, I get calls from these pieces of s**t numerous times a day. (2-3 on avg.) due to losing sleep I've had a couple small injuries on my job, which has been extremely luck so far. I work under and direct a crane hauling 8-12 ton loads of steel bars on and off of trucks all night long. I can't just turn my ringer off as I also have children who are out and about during the day, and I will not risk missing anything important from them. I've requested that these people stop calling me, and let them know that if I do get injured on my job due to their harassment causing me to lose so much sleep, there will be serious problems. Automatic weapon in one hand, and a steel bar in the other for w***ver is in charge. Not one of these worthless f***s even speaks fluent English either. It's infuriating to try and explain basic concepts to them, like "wrong number" and "that person had this number before, and now I do".

This number calls me SERVERAL times a week asking for the SAME girl which is someone I don't even know.  I have told these people SEVERAL TIMES that they have the wrong number.  I received a call from this number a***n this morning so I called it back to see who it was.  I listened to the automessage to see if it would tell me who it was... which it didn't so I ***g up.  MINUTES later I get a call from the number a***n asking for the same girl saying that our number just called.  We explained to the person I called back to see who they were we told them that the girl they were requesting we didn't who know it was and that it was the wrong number they RUFUSED to believe this.  Asking for our mailing address to verify that is wasn't the same person.People are very rude, and can't get it through there thick skulls that when you say wrong number "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSE TO CALL BACK"

Receive multiple calls from them every week on my cell. Always at random times. Whenever I answer, no one speaks on the other line. Anyone know how to get this number blocked?

I have received 7 phone calls from this company, called "Takhar". They say I owe $77.37 to Literary Guild. I can't get a phone # for Literary Guild. I did have an acc't with them awhile ago, and thought I had paid it.   One guy said they were a Collection Company. The next guy said they are not a Collection Co., but a Credit Reporting Agency. I have also had a woman talk to me.  They all speak with an accent from India. They are not respectful and do not sound professional. They claim they sent me 3 letters. I did not receive anything.  They want me to give them bank info.#'s, or a card#'s one day PRIOR to the day they will supposedly call me back to take the $ over the phone. They are agreeable to partial payments. What is to prevent them for taking whatever amount they want with my #'s??? Of course I gave them NO info.  They won't accept a check or money order by mail.  They won't send me anything in writing because I "ignored their 3 letters".  They said it will be on my credit report for 7 yrs.The woman said she would send me an e-mail from her company to make me believe her. It never came. How do I get them to stop calling? Anyone have any dealings with these Takhar people?

Called at 5am no voicemail left. Did a little snooping on the net it's wells fargo.

Answered call because they keep calling and I have told them before I don't know the person they are calling for.  They will not identify themselves and when I ask any questions of them they **** up.
