Asking to call back due to "an important matter" , stating that they are open till midnight. I contacted B of A using a number listed on my statement and was told that no one has reached out and to remain vigilant as this is a SCAM and attempt to 1.***n access to my account, and/or 2.personal details to engage in little ID theft. Be careful!! Block the number!!

sickofscams This is a SCAM/phishing call. I reported it to the FTC. The real bank verified they did NOT call me and the number is NOT theirs. The scammers call both "land lines" and cell phones. They will ask for personal information. Do NOT call them back or let them record your voice.
Marie in OKC A man who called himself Mr. Bailey left a threatening message saying his office had not received a response from notifications sent and they were sending the case to the AG's office if they did not receive a return call by the afternoon. He did not identify his office nor did he leave a case number or give a name or any other identification for the person(s) he was trying to reach. Also, this is the same 866...number that has called several times prior to this and when someone did answer, there was no one there. All you could hear was a bunch of clicks.
