Leave a CommentWell it seems like they call you a few times first to tell you your going to be sued and they give you a chance to call them back and take care of it. If you ignore the calls they have you served with court papers and they sue you. Atleast that's what's happening to me. I didn't call them back after about 2 weeks of them calling me so they got mad and now they are going to sue me I guess. Oh well. I owe everyone money so I don't really care but yeah just to clear some things up they will sue you! I have a court date coming up and I might just leave the country!
I too recieved a call from this number. I called and whanted to know what was up with this credit on an account that I have with them. They wanted my soc. I said no. the guy said that it was a com****r driven system and needed the phone number or soc. to retrieve the info. I gave him the phone number he asked if I was carl, I said a I was he asked my middle int. I asked why. he said to make sure that I have the correct person. I wanted to know what this is about first then I would answer all of his questions otherwise send me a letter. He gave me the address that they had for me and it was and old one for me. I gave him the new one and I recieved the letter today 08/22/09 and no **** it is an old quick cash loan that I had forgotten all about I will call to pay on monday and I will be asking about the discounts that osme of you got.
Know your legal rights. If you owe a debt, request the information be sent to you by mail. If it is not sent then they can't touch you. I strongly suspect some of these posts by people who were sued is bu***hit being spread by ffg..
I agree with Angela. Anybody can say you owe a debt, however with the way things are going with iden***y theft you can't trust anyone, especially since these guys called and said that they had information regarding a loan request. Please, I haven't requested a loan so what are they talking about? Send my information in writing.
Well they never sent me anything in the mail they always call. Until I get so****ing in the mail I am not sending them anything.
I recieved a letter from ffg &****oc saying I would be sued if I didn't respond. The letter said they were going to sue me for a debt I owe. It also said they want to give me a chance to pay the debt before they file the law suit. I called the number on the letter and spoke to a Chris Jenkins who was very nice and helpful. I was givin a discount and I took advantage of the offer which was pay 50% of my balance and the other 50% would be waived. He faxed me the offer in writing before I paid the debt with my debit card. I don't know about anyone else on this chat line but my advice would be to pay your bill if you are able to and prevent them from filing a lawsuit a***nst you. Why be sued for a debt that you owe? And I can't understand why some people on here think ffg is some scam company. If you owe the money what makes you think you can't or won't be sued? Well I'm not taking that chance! The letter clearly says they will sue you if you do not cooperate with them. Good luck to everyone!
A guy named Matt keeps calling me and threatning me with the Ohio Attorney General's office. He says he's been in my checking account records, isn't that a***nst the law? I gave him no permission to do so. They are ****S that are head ***ters trying to bleed you dry. Give them no information about you, let them do their job. If they take you to court, than you might be *****ed, but I'm personally not going to roll over and play dead for these creeps.
Lie lie lie . hey Joe. **** off. ***ody who posted here got a letter. they googled the number on the caller ID . onyl to find 1/2 the posts from some bored idiot who works at this phone number. good luck fellas .
My attorney checked them out after I recieved a letter stating I was going to be sued if I didn't pay a debt I owed. Well he advised me that they can and will sue me! I guess FFG has a network of creditor attorney's that they use to sue people who owe a debt. My attorney advised me to pay what I owed or try to resolve it with them because they will sue me. My attorney checked them out and said they are licensed to do business and they are represented by several law firms across the country! I called them and paid them what I owed. They actually gave me a pretty generous discount since I was cooperating with them. To the people on here who think FFG is just trying to scare you or harrass you, you unfortunatley are very mistaken. They will sue you if you do not work with them and pay what you owe. This is a fact!
I have received several calls from a Joseph at FFG with a call back number of 1-866-443-6985. Like all calls, he does not ask for anyone by name. The reason given for the calls seems to be the same for all the calls this company makes which is “about a check you have written and needing to verify information for security purposes.” I have not called them back and have absolutely no intention of doing so.The company is Vegalo LLC dba Frontier Financial Group aka FFG****ociates. This company is illegally operating as a collection agency. The State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry Financial Ins***utions Division issued an order to cease and desist unlicensed activities on 04/02/09: http://www.fid.state.nv.us/Notices/2009/Vegalo_LLC.pdfI spoke with the above named division and was told to file a formal complaint a***nst FFG. They also said if I do speak with someone at FFG, to remind them of the order issued a***nst them. Perhaps the fine this company received isn’t enough to deter their behavior. Therefore, I encourage those of you being harassed by this group to file a formal complaint with the State of Nevada: http://www.fid.state.nv.us/Forms/FID-Complaint-Interactive.pdf
i keep getting a call with this number on my cell phone, but they don't leave a message. I googled this number and found this site, a**** other ones with message boards. Upon reading several of them, I think I have figured out what this is about. A former friend of mine gives out my cell phone number as an emergency contact whenever she takes out a payday loan, and there are many different loan companies out there, so I don't know which one uses this ffg and****oc as their collection agency. I have had several different companies call me and ask that I give my friend a message that they are trying to contact her. I can only****ume my former friend has left some debts unpaid, resulting in collection action. So when someone calls and mentions so****ing about check verification, its probably about a payday loan that wasn't repaid.
This company called to verify a reference on two different people.Sounds like a scam of some type. I will check the mail for offers.
I was getting calls from these people about a debt that I owe. I also recieved a legal letter from them advising me they were going to take legal action a***nst me if I didn't resolve the matter. I let my attorney hear the voice mails and showed him the letter and he checked them out and is advised me I should contact them and try to resolve the matter. He advised me they are legit and told me they can and will sue me. I contacted them and spoke to a mr. Pearson who was to my surprise very nice and willing to work with me. I paid the settlement he offered me and he faxed me a letter showing paid. I don't know if they are all attorneys or if they have several legal represen***ives or collectors that try to get you to pay but either way if the money is owed obviously you can be sued. That's no secret! My attorney advised me I did the right thing and said they could and would have sued me.
I was recently sued by these people! They were calling me every other day and I continued to ignore them and wouldn't return their calls. Then I didn't hear from them for about 2 weeks until I was served court papers one day while leaving to go to work. Try to resolve your debt with them before it's too late. By ignoring them you will only make the situation worse and you will be stuck paying alot more then just the bill. My credit is **** now with this nasty judgement, all my credit card companies were notified and they all either lowered or froze my credit lines because of this. But I guess it was my fault for not even attempting to resolve the debt which I legally owed! To anyone reading this..if these people contact you, just talk them and work it out because you will not win if it goes to court!
they called me to with the same msg, I called back and it was a check I wrote for an old payday loan I took out. They helped me with a settlement offer which I payed lower then the orginal loan I took out. If they call you with that msg call back and if it's the wrong number they can remove it out of thier system..
I received the same call, from Robert from FFG &****ociates asking to verify some information on a check I wrote. Two messages. I won't return the call. It's odd that they called my cell phone... must be random calling. Only my immediate family knows that number!
They left the verifying check funds message etc. Knew it was fishy as said they had called before. And I don't put my land line on my checks. Also caller ID shows the Las Vegas area code 702.
I recieved the same message and the guy said his name was Robert then a follow up message with his name as rob that was the 10th one and the first nine were exactly the same. Sounded very fishy to me. I will not be calling them back.
The caller left a message which sounds very fishy to me. The caller does not mention the name of the person he is trying to reach to confirm he called the correct number. He is supposedely "Mr. Burk from FF Jean****ociates". Supposedly a "check was returned" to the caller's office and for "verification purposes" and "security purposes", the caller asked me to call him back. I won't.
This call was from frontier financial.
