Leave a CommentI have received 2 such calls from the same number. The first time I answered the call. I asked why she needed that information and why she was calling. She told me that she was calling either because there was an error on my tax forms or it was simply a courtesy call. Why did she not know the reason for her call?She did tell me that she was calling from the Kansas City HQ office and said I should call my tax preparer to see what the problem was. I did contact my tax preparer, and she said she did not know why anyone from HRB HQ would be calling me.Further, I know for a fact that my forms have NOT been filed with the IRS yet. So there is no known error, at least not yet.I received a 2nd call yes****ay from the same number. It left a message on my answering ma****e; I will not return the call.

It was H&R block. It wasn't a scam. There was an IRS error. My tax lady called and 15 minutes later, the 1-866-499-1271 numer called and asked for the last 4 of my social, name and address. They told me the same thing my tax lady said and asked if i wanted them to set up an appointment with my tax lady but i told her I had JUST set it up.
They said that they wher from h&r block and said that ther was a mess up on the taxes and they need my name. My last 4 degits of my social security number and my address. I knew it was a scam i already talked to my worker yes****ay he said if ther is any messups he well call me i just told that lady i will call my self at the office and the lady said ya its a scam.
i know they say they were h&r block.i am still trying to find out if it is true or not.they asked for the last 4 of my social and my full name.I gave that.then they asked for my DOB and I asked them why they were calling.she told me if i felt uncomfortable giving that to call my local h&r block office.the funny thing is that i work there and ***ody has called me from that office.usually if i there is a problem,they call me right away.i am too lazy to go there today because i am off,so i guess i will find out tomorrow.
They said they were H&R Block and ask for my FULL SSN!
