Anonymous PHISHING ALERT: I received a text from a random 5-digit code number telling me to call this number back stating they were from my bank "Chase Bank" and needed me to call them back right away because there was a problem with by bank account. I called Chase fraud department direct instead and they said they do not see that number in their phone directory and was most likely a phishing scam so if you get a call from this number, be aware!

Carol Although I did not call the number 866 609 8298, I believe it to be bona fide. This is my story: I s****ed getting robocalled everyday from 877 587 5727 asking me to call the above # re my Citicard. I ignored it because I do not have a Citicard. Some of the posts claimed that they called the number and were told their Citicard was over 28 days late and some others said that Citibank processed smaller store credit cards. I checked and found out that my Citgo card was handled by Citibank, and yes, I was over 28 days late. My bill was due Oct 8 and I forgot all about it (oops). I received a statement dated Oct 12 saying "bad person you are late and we are charging you an exhorbitant late fee. You have until Nov 8 to pay the minimum due". The robocalls s****ed Oct 14 which falls in line with the 28 days late claim. I made arrangements with my online banking company to pay them Nov 6 (yes****ay). If I am correct, in about a week, the calls should stop.
Joy I have received three calls from 866-609-4094 and each time the person on the other end ****s up when I answer. I called the number back and the lady who answered said it was some sort of credit business. When I inquired as to what type of credit business she ***g up. Next call from them and I am contacting my states Attorney General. My phones are on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I have no outstanding bills credit or otherwise.

I have had several calls. I called back after 2, talked to a real person and they were a collection agency looking for someone else. I asked them to stop calling. They still do.To my knowlege, I owe them nothing. Last message was, and I quote, "Bite me!" They can bite this. That number is listed as belonging to Franklin Collection Service PO Box 3910 Tupelo Mississippi

That number is for Fashion Bug Clothing. My wife closed an account with them many years ago yet we continue to get those same calls left on our answering ma****e. She has spoken to people from there and keeps getting the same special offer garbage even though we asked not to be called any further.Hope this helps...
