I just got a charge on my debit card from this location in IL... I live in NY. Just had to get a new card because of this and people using my card in other states! How do I get refunded for this?

There is a charge on my bank statement for $38.43 on 6-3-15 for which I did not make! I don't know where the DVD movies were rented from but it probably was at the Walmart in Smithfield .Is there any way you can find out what card these movies were rented with?? Lena Hamilton

I've got 2 charges from this place as well, both on 5/3/5. No calls on my phone but this redbox location shows up next to it.

I have a transaction of 17.24 by this number on my bank statement. This is an actual problem, people. These people are getting away with stealing our money, and it's time we do so****ing about it!

I rented a dvd from redbox on 3-15-2010. The address was from renredbox oakbrkterrace, IL.  on 4-25,4-26,and 4-27 I've had over 1,880.00 withdrawn out of my account (UNAUTHORIZED)  ALL FROM IL.Home Depot (2 separate locations), Nu Comfort Supply (2 withdrawals within minutes)Menards hardware (2 withdrawals) Mac Donalds, Payless, and others......The only connection with all this seems to begin after the Red Box Rental...BEWARE !!!!It's been a real pain, now my acct. is overdrawn,  what little money left in the acct. is frozen, my wife is going out of town without any access to cash.  You can bet my business won't be going to red box anymore.

we receive text messages when there is any activity on our visa card. Today, we received a message that showed a withdrawal of $2.31 at 4:14am. The text stated the transaction was from REDBOX ILUS 866-733-2693. We live in Texas and were asleep at 4:14am. We called the number. Without us telling them, the people were able to identify our first names and REDBOX/card activity. In addition, they could not find any transaction for $2.31 at 4:14am. Our Visa card however noticed the transaction and cancelled the order. So, either the number is legit or these scammers are good!Don't give out any information over the phone, even if it's your phone number, address or what not. You don't know what information these crooks already have (credit card numbers) and what little they need (zip codes, phone numbers, etc.).

Who did this?

My credit card was charged twice by RedBox. Once just a couple of days ago for $25.75 and once a month ago for $3.22. I will be calling the number that came up on one of the transactions (866-733-2693). It also had OakBrkTerrace IL on the charge right next to the phone number...I hope to get some answers before reporting fraudulent activity to my credit card company.

I have also noticed this number on my bank account where it says I was charged for Redbox DVD rentals. The problem is, the bank account is not even 3 weeks in existance and I had never used the debit card prior to the 19th of January (date of the charges).

i have also been charged $4.30 for a rental i did not do, i got an overdraft because of it......not sure what to do or who to call, other than to tell my bank to not accept charges from these people anymore

I am being charged for redbox rentals too and live im mo. ive tried calling but ***ody answers ive been charged 10.00 for this what do i do

I received THREE charges (Totaling $9.63) on my bank account from this number on a night that I never left my dorm room. I have emailed Redbox and got no response. Can someone help me?

also if you are getting charged for rentals as well as these text messages, someone who knows you is using your credit card or debit card number to rent these movies. so look at your friends...some friends!

this number is redbox.  After you sign up for free rentals and give them your cell phone number, or one of your joker friends uses your cell number in signing up for free rentals, they send you, on monday, a complimentary code that allows you to use the code in one of their DVD rental ma****es, to get a free rental movie for a day.  You or someone who knows your cell number used your number when they requested a complimentary free rental from redbox.

I just got charged $4 from this number, Redbox, for a rental that I didn't make either, and my checking account is so low that I am afraid it will end up being overdrawn if they keep coming... It says "OAKBROOKTERRACE" next to it which is apparently in Illinois... I have tried calling Redbox but can't get through. I was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. I'll try a***n later.

I got charged for a redbox transaction that I DID NOT DO! On the transaction this number comes out. ***?!

i received this # on my credit card transaction summary from my bank. it listed that this # from redbox charged me $11.61. thank you much for this information.

I got a charge of $9.99 on my cell phone bill from a company called Bhootan with this phone number listed to contact.  When I called this number I found out it was Redbox, who said they had no clue what I was talking about.  I a***n contacted my cell phone company who refunded this charge to my account, there were actually  2 in one month.

They make $$$ by people answering their calls...

I'm getting text messages from these people and I'm being charged for every text I received.

i get text messages from these jokers all the time spamming me with discount codes for the red box movie rental stuff.

Who owes this # 866-733-2693?  I'm getting charged for this call.
