Prolonged silence then hung up
Not a scammer
Yes it's child support Orange County
Mrs. B Caller said there was a legal action taken out in my name - did not even pronounce it correctly - and to contact an attorney prior to my calling back. Tried to call back and got a busy signal several times - SCAM!!!
Calls and leaves message regarding legal matter. Won't give specific information what it's about, just to call a number to settle the matter. Ignore them! They are scammers!
Leaves messages about a legal matter. Calls me about two to three times at work but I just delete. Harassing family members but they know now not to speak to them and will be blocking this number and others they use, I cannot block number at work so I just ignore. They have threatened to arrest me for the past two years and still waiting. This is a joke don't give any personal info.

Wrong number looking for Kristy Marino
Alan Weeks Called says he represents the Baker & McKenzie Law Firm...foreign accent (!) + very loud & rude/intimidating. When I asked what city, he said Miami, Florida...and hung up. So I just called the Baker & McKenzie firm in Miami. Receptionist said I wasn't the first to call for verification...that, in fact, the caller was a hoax...a scam...and to just hang up if they call again. I actually called the 866.901.1521 number 2 more times...each time, somebody different answered and would naturally hang up soon as I confronted them as a scam
C. It is a scam, they will call you and say that they represent a law firm , the law firm is real but they do not represent them, funny thing is I am an attorney and they asked for my attorneys number, when I conferenced called the real law firm in the immediately hung up.
I've recieved calls as well saying that I'm being sued but when I ask them to send me something or confirm the number for me they hang up. Definitely something fishy. Not to mention not a one speaks English well
Won't leave message
AZ I just got a voicemail & called back. The man that answered stated that it was regarding a past due balance with creditors, but did not provide any information regarding a creditor. I have not had a credit card or line of credit in over 10 years. As soon as I stated that I wanted paperwork regarding the matter & refuse to send money to an unknown entity, he ended the phone conversation abruptly. I have had identity theft on at least 2 occassions which I reported to the credit bureaus as well as notices from the Dept of Defense & other government entities which I have been gainfully employed by over the years that files including my personal info was misplaced/stollen or leaked. I have always reported to the credit bureaus each time anything regarding
Got the same call just ignored it
Definitely a SCAM!
wife got call, thought we were being sued. Real ***holes who want you to contact your lawyer and call them back. Just hang up. Having Verizon block all calls, they will just resurface under another number
whose number is this?
Collection agency looking for former tenant

It's like they won't stop calling.
Same
This number is Sallie Mae bill collector
Left voicemail, but nothing said...just hung up. My guess is spam of some sort.

Call from Andrea, job number BRK162054 ext. 3355
This number called twice today without leaving a message. After reading on this site that it was the Columbus Dispatch, I called them. After a few minute wait, Keven explained to me that they were calling to do a satisfaction survey (I am a customer of theirs). He also stated that they are supposed to leave a message on the second call. I informed him to put me on their "do not call" list which he did immediately.
This number belongs to the Columbus Dispatch. This is an auto-dialer. They are checking on your service.
got a disconnected call when answered
I'm going through a debt management program to pay off my debt ,but this Creditors Interchange keeps harassing me into paying one of my c.c off for less. Mike Zielinski at ext. 3571 won't stop calling even after myself and husband have told him so. BBB doesn't have anything on them at all. I'm taken every action as possible to stop them.I've blocked their number and yea, they managed to go around that too.....Good Luck to me and everyone else....
I received a call from this number. They left a message on my answering maching saying I had a child support court date in two days at a location in Los Angeles called Superior Central Civil West at 600 South CommonwealthL.A. 90005. I called and after being transferred several times and then on hold for several minutes, someone asked my social security number. Unfortunately, I gave it to them and they said they didn't see any court date for me. I must have been called in error. I have an ex wife who has taken me to court several times to try to raise child support - so i just thought she was at it again.
This phone number is Creditors Interchange
Same problem. They keep calling a business number for over a year that is clearly identified as such and has never heard of the named individual they are looking for.
Keep getting a call from this company, they have the wrong number and I've told them that but they keep calling. How do I get them to stop since I am not the person they are looking for?
Repeated daily calls from this number, even after asking them several times to remove me from their list. When I call to ask them to remove me, they never let me finish my sentence and they just rudely hang up.
It's a collection agency.
No response on caller ID. Calls come in a all hours. I don't pick up the phone if I don't recognize the caller.
Caller called asking for a family member on my cell phone. When I asked who the business was they told me it was personal. I told them then my phone number was personal and to not call again.
boaelitex many cases of identity theft have been reported, I was told by a employee of BoA that they give away personal info to third party associates. Check this out:http://eliteexcursions.wordpress.com/2008/07/19/full-history/
cutiepie They keep calling my house and cell phone. The caller id comes up as unavailable. They finally left a message yesterday saying to call back at 866-901-9856 and this was not a marketing call. I wonder how they have both of my numbers. I don't have any accounts with them, nor do I want one.
Kara They call me non-stop every day and never leave messages. Like hell I'm going to call them back! I'm not that dumb. I don't care if it is because of my overdrawn account at BoA, I'll put the money in when I have it, plain and simple.
Rena - 18 Jun 2008 Received this 2 call today and it was a recording that says to stay on the line until a person would be right with you. I did not stay on the line and hung up. I wished they would stop calling. I also received an email from them on two occasions asking for information to update the account which I donot do it. I also believe this is a SCAM.
Nicole I received this call twice and it was a recording that was leaving a message saying that I needed to call Bank of America and that it was not a marketing call. I called the BOA number that is located on the back of my bank card and I spoke with an employee and they called the number and then told me that this number is a scam and now my accounts are under fraud watch.DO NOT CALL BACK THIS NUMBER AND DO NOT DIVULGE ANY IMPORTANT & CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION!! THIS IS A SCAM TO GET YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION & IDENTITY THEFT!!!!
Brian I think this all is just a case of recycled phone numbers, nothing more.
well they got me also...but they got my son on the phone. i dont know how they got my bank info. i keep all that in a locked safe. no one can get at it but me. thank god my bank has heard of this with other bankers, i am getting my money back, but now i have to go and close my bank account. this is a pain in the u know what.....
hj recd' several calls from 626-666-6754. I called it back from a block number and they never identify themselves by a company name. But insead say this is card services. What cardl?!
Vicki Recd' call from 866 901-9856,from Theresa who reports that our personal bank account is overdrawn by $8000, and has been for 2 months..............they asked for personal information, we refused to give info. We asked for her name and number and called the number back which answered as BofA, and when I asked for theresa I was told that yes they did have a Theresa, again they asked for personal information. I refused and hung up. What concerns me is that 2 months someone wiped out our acct by writing 2 checks.....we reported this to the Fraud Dept and they took care of it. We closed the account, and there is no record according to B of A that the account is overdrawn. This is fraud people!!! These people have access to your records, and it appears that they have only half the info they need and are on a fishing expedition.
I received a call from the 866-901-8966 and was promised the $1.95 deal. I went through with it stupidly and a couple weeks later was charged $169.93 to my account. CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU.
Hey.. I got a call at exactly 3:31 from the number on Feb 14 as well. Anyone figure out who from?
CJS B o A has no record of this 866 number! Have called them numerous times over the last 8 months explaining that I don't bank with BoA and never will! No way they can take my number out of their data banks. BS!!! So I will call them back, once again, and b***h some more!
Mark Not a fraudulent call. This is definitely Bank of America's Overdraft Services call center in Boston (they also have one in Tempe, AZ). In my case, they were calling my cell number which was likely recycled from another individual. A legitimate case of mistaken identity.
these people have called a least a dozen times since I got this new cell phone number. Calling them and telling them they have the wrong number does no good, they still keep calling and leaving an annoying voicemail.
Geoff When I called 866.901.9856 of course they asked for my phone number saying, "maybe they were calling the wrong person..." Of course I wouldn't give it to them without the guy giving me his employee number and call center location. He said he was in the Boston, MA call center but wouldn't give me his employee or badge number. So I called Bank of America California services at 800.622.8731 and they verified that 866.901.9856 was a Bank of America phone number. I had the official Bank of America person ("Anita") do a three way call with the folks at 866.901.9856. She asked for his "CAI Number" which he gave and she looked up. She then asked for his last name which he gave and she used to verify his identity. She was able with the CAI number and the 866.901.9856 phone number (I guess Anita had a listing of all valid B of A phone numbers) to confirm this was an actual Bank of America employee and that that this was a valid number. So I gave him the number he was calling and he said he would remove it.I'd suggest anyone having issues with this do the same thing - do a three way call. Giving someone your phone number can link your address to your phone number which is a valuable link that most marketers don't have.
Joe I got similar call from this number and looked up google to find this page. Is there something I can do to protect myself in case it is a fraud. I have not disclosed any information except my phone number which they already knew but were looking for someone else.
Matthew This is Bank of America Overdraft Services. They call when your account is overdrawn. Of course two weeks after it is overdrawn... The caller ID had a California (626) area code.
Jam This number 1-866-901-9856 number was left to me via a recording message. The recored message said for me to call this toll-free number for Bank of America, that "THIS IS NOT A MARKETING CALL." I am reporting this to the authorities as I believe this is fraud, especially after reading this. I have no Bank of America account. My caller ID says "CALIFORNIA," and that is all, with a phone number of 626-666-6754. This is fraud, folks. EVERYBODY should inform the authorities about this and not just me.
Nick I called, gave them the number they left the message on. Said they were looking for someone else and would take me off the list.
So ****ed Off Ah ... good old B of A / I was hit with identity theft twice within the last few months. The first time the thief charged items via my debit card. The second time they had access to my brand new checking account number. Now, looks like their may be a third time, if in fact, this number is a hoax. Can someone please tell me why the **** the banks these days are not more secure? Rumor has it that B of A sent in claims in 2006 totaling upwards of $83 million dollars. That's a whole lot of fraud. Please tell me something is being done about this. Otherwise we may all soon be witnessing the end of a icon: the Bank!!!!
They offer to consolidate your federal loans.
jbird yea they called me 2 time... looked the number up hear before calling... someone gave them my number or i have a number that was used... I called them up and they asked me if i was some guy and i said no and they said they will remove the contact from there records... i gave them no information other then the number they called...
on Have been receiving calls from (seemingly) Bank of America, but hey, whose bank calls and leaves them a message without any content except "call this number"? I haven't received any written letter from the bank and this is how they usually communicate with customers. So don't fall for this. It is obviously a scam.
Ted Seems to be B of A Card Overdraft Collection Services
LeeAnn Recording from "Bank of America" saying that they need me to call back. When I called back they wanted all sorts of personal info. I called B of A and they said that it was a scam.
