Our computer dialer dials the calls, it is not a person sitting at a desk dialing out. The national do not call list does not apply here because you have a relationship with Verizon Wireless. This gives them or anyone hired by them the right to call you to offer you any promotions they have. The number that is dialed is one the customer has given at the time of signing up with the service. IF you would like to c****e that number please call customer service and do so. We can not call on any other number. If you would like to be taken out of our system please tell us and we will be more than happy to do that as well.

They called my cell phone number at 8:30pm est even though it's on the do not call list.  I ended up getting a so-called voice message, but all I heard in the background was a bunch of people - sounded like telemarketers.

Auto calls and no answer when I pick up

They call and **** up...I found this site. I called and they ***g up 3 times then answered saying verizon wireless. I told the man to put me on the DNC list effective immediately as they've been calling and ****ing up on me for a month now and its a violation to my rights and he apologized and said he'd put me on the dnc list right away. He first asked me for my number and I said that he has it...which he repeated back to me. How disappointed I am with verizon for this behavior and scam!

When this call came in I heard a series of beeps and then the line went dead.Called back but did not get an answer. I am on the Do Not Call List, but they seem to have a way to cir***vent the rules.

Keeps calling and calling and calling and calling

Just got a call from these ppl and they ***g up on me. I called back and got ***g up on 2x, the 3rd time I called back I got a woman who told me they are from verizon wireless and she asked me for my phone number, I said you mjst know it you called it and stop calling me and I ***g up on her!

I've been receiving calls from this number for about a month now. I decided to google the number and found out from this site that it's verizon.BUT, two days ago I upgraded my contract and bought a new phone. I called the number back to ask why they are still calling and the person didn't know. She didn't seem to know what her company was calling me for. weird. I asked "did the people in the verizon store where I upgraded my contract forget to offer me so****ing? is that why you're still calling even though I upgraded?" --she didn't know. She just took me off their list, which is what I encourage everyone to do.I am very happy with verizon in general, but this company they hired has got to go.

This is a marketing company hired by Verizon. They call and **** up so you call them back so they can get around the "Do Not Call List." I informed them that if they called me a***n I was going to take legal action because on the DNC violation and they dont me they would take me off their calling list right away instead of the normal 30 days. That's want you have to do to get the calls to stop.

this number has been calling me repeatedly for the last week; same story as all those above: no actual voicemail left, ****up if i pick up, etc. i called back the number today and someone answered immediately. it is definitely a marketing scheme, so i told them i wanted to stop receiving calls from that number. he placed my cell phone number on their do not call list and removed my account from their database.... we'll see if they actually stop calling now.

I received a call from this number yes****ay and today in the afternoon/evening hours.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize and they leave no message.

I keep getting these calls from 866-997-2588.  I don't answer incoming 800 numbers to my cell phone but I want to know who is doing this!!!!!!!!!

Carol is right.  It is a marketing company and they are harrassing us.  Verizon should know how angry these calls make us and how unwanted they are.

I just called the number back.  It is a marketing company that has been hired by Verizon Wireless to get you to renew your service.  I politely (well, maybe not all that politely) informed them that this service was just initiated in January and just upgraded 2 months ago.  I then informed them that if they call my number one more time I will go to the nearest AT&T store and have my service c****ed immediately, because 9 ****-up calls is harassment in my opinion.

866-997-2588I've gotten calls from this company every day for the last week and a half.  They usually call when I'm not home and they leave no message.  Twice, I've been home to answer it and caught it on the second ring.  They **** up on me.  If this is indeed Verizon, as another poster mentioned, then I'm informing them that they can cancel the service I already have with them, as I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Possibly because your contract is soon going to be up?  Mine is up with Verizon Wireless in August, so they have been calling me since May regularly.  I dont answer.

I've already gotten four calls from this number:June 10, 2009June 12, 2009June 15, 2009June 16, 2009I don't pick up when I don't know who's calling, so those are all missed calls. They haven't left any voicemails.

Calls every few days.  I never answer.  Either it just comes up as a missed call, or it shows that I have a voicemail, but there is no voicemail, as if they ***g up just as the voicemail beeped.  Very annoying!
