Spam Spam. Total ****s
Some collection agency with incorrect info phishing for information
Did you find anything out????? They call me and are asking for some person I have never heard of!!!.Can this be stopped?
I believe it's a debt collection company. They called my house several times in the span of 3 hours with an "unknown" number. I finally picked up and it turns out they were looking for someone wiht my same name. The guy asked if my DOB was **/**/**x...I said no...then asked if my last four were -****? I said no....and he said, oh, we have the wrong Wanda...I'll note the file and take your number off of our listing. Kinda weird....almost as if they're just going thru the phone books until they get luck!
This phone number is for a company called EOCCA, who collect debt. They offer you a one **** deal (mine was for a verizon acct.) and then try to intimidate you into paying by telling you it will probably go into arbitration, which it won't because it would cost far more for attorney fees, plus you have to be notified by mail for any of the charges...which they don't. Ask for the do***ented evidence of the contract they have with whomever they are supposedly collecting for, giving them authority to harrass and collect from you. They won't. Case closed.
Just got a call from EOCCA. The recording said they were looking for a person named ****. It happens that **** used to live in my town but he is dead!!!!!!! It said if I was not **** to **** up. I tried but it would not disconnect. I listened and it said it was an attempt to collect a debt. It said if I am not **** to call 877 611-1715, the number that called me. I called them and am listening to some ridiculous music on hold. I don't think anyone will answer...BUT, since I used to work for the phone company, the call is being traced and the a**holes, if they are illegal, will be in jail soon.
Ok I got a bill from them for my brother. He has paid it off. How or why they got this address for him I don't know. Now they are trying to collect my student loans. Those to have been paid off. I just checked their web address and tried to get a log in number. Both came back as invalid account.

Wow! I guess I'm not the only one who is getting fed-up with this company called EOCCA. They have called my cell phone leaving voice mails at least 6 times. I have called the number they referred 3 times to have my number removed from their list. They are asking for a Doug Casellis. I have no idea who that person is. They have ***g up on me after being talked to in a very rude way. They call me from 800-401-7073, I call them at 877-294-5776 to remove my number but they still keep calling. How can we make them STOP?? Does anyone know what to do?
I, too, just received a call and message from someone looking for my husband and they identified thenselves as 'EOCCA' NOT 'EOS CCA' . I'm going to warn my husband right now that this so-called debt collector is phishing for personal information on people to try and either rip them off or steal their iden***y. I've done some internet research on this EOCCA, and apparently, they tell callers that they are trying to collect debt owed to MA DOR and are going to garnish wages ... we owe no debt to MA DOR and this is a total scam! So Jupiter, even tho there may be a legit debt collector out there with a simliar name, this EOCCA sound like so****ing that should not only be reported to the BBB but investigated by legal authorities as thieves and preying on consumers in a depressed economy, knowing that thier phishing scam will most likely find someone out there who IS in debt ... and there is a legal process that has to be in place LONG before it get to a point before wages can be garnished, ie, court summons and settlement negotiations. So please dont tell people they shouldnt be on notice and not try to protect themselves from these rude, bottom feeder s***bags trying to rip them off !!!
This same EOCCA **** called my cell phone. Called in reference to Craig so****ing. Really long last name I couldn't understand. And it also said so****ing about if you continue to listen you acknowledge that you are __the name of who I've never heard of__. And to call back for important personal business. I called and no one answered. I'm not craig. Not only did they call. They left the same voice mail twice. My phone died and when I turned it back on...I immediately got those two long automated voice mails. this is ridiculous.
The company name is EOS CCA. They are a debt collection company, not a scam. The company website is http://www.eos-cca.com. They use public records to find any****ociations that connect a person to a ****od of contact; an old address, old phone number, old cell number, old workplace, relatives, previous spouses, school class lists, Google searches, Facebook****ociations, tax records, business records, etc. They collect on everything from credit cards, medical bills, utility bills, parking tickets, taxes and government bills. They are not bound by Do Not Call lists because they are not telemarketers - they are debt collectors.By law, though, they cannot give out personal information about someone they are looking for. They can't say" I am looking for John Smith, social security number **********x, that owes $4,800 to Master card account number ****x." By the same ****n, you are not required to give out any of your personal info over the phone, either. As for the rudeness of their customer service, think about it, it must be a miserable job, with people yelling at you, berating you all day, BSing and lying to you, calling you names. I think it would be very difficult to "Put a Smile in your voice" dealing with that all day. Its also a ******logical tactic to wear down deadbeats that do owe money. For the people that are truly a 'wrong number' it is annoying. A complaint to the Better Business Bureau would probably be more effective than calling the police or the DNC list.
I also have received a call from the above number. The man ask for someone that I've never heard of and gave me the same pitch. However, I figured it was some sort of scam and did NOT call that number! I cut him off after he said "if you are not..." I have been doing all the searches to find out where that number is and keep hitting dead ends. How can we find out WHO is calling from this number and WHO is EOCCA?! I'm also on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I too, will report them. If anyone can find out where they are coming from, please let us know.
I just got a call from 800-268-9806 spouting the same automated **** listed above... I answered though...called the number they give "if u r not... Call this no...." the guy said the company was EOCCA and he would remove my number... We'll see! WHO R THESE PEOPLE?
My sister received a call saying that I had put her down as a reference and to call the EOCCA company with a given reference number. She asked me about it, and I told her I had no idea what it was talking about. After doing some internet research, it appears that this is nothing more than some type of scam- some people have complained that they try to get your SS# and personal info if they get you on the phone.
I get a voice mail message daily on my work phone looking for me about a personal business matter and the message says if you are not "P" **** up, otherwise you are confirming that you are "P". I don't trust anyone and don't owe anyone money and this is annoying that these foreign people are calling me on the job. This is true harassment and this company or group of scam artists need to be stopped.
I'm another one who got the same call from the same number listed above with the same insinuating message left on my answering ma****e today. The most annoying or threatening part of the message was " . . . if you are not Allene Casey please **** up . . . . by continuing to listen to this message you acknowledge you are Allene Casey." And that is what is left on an answering ma****e that doesn't **** up? So I'm forced to call them to remove my #? How do I know its not just some telemarketer looking for valid phone numbers to harass? If they call a***n and I'm home to actually answer I'm dialing *57 to file a Police report a***nst them for harassing or annoying phone calls because I'm on the DoNotCall.gov list. I'll also record their call as evidence.
This company called my home looking for a girl that I never heard of. They left a message to return the call and have my number removed from there call list if I did NOT know the person. I returned the call and requested that my number be removed. When I asked the lady who was calling she got ignorant with me and insinuated that I must know the person or I would not care who called. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she got snotty. After a few choice words she ***g up on me. Very upset, I returned the call and they ***g up on me a***n. It took me five trys until I FINALLY got to speak to a supervisor. They were VERY ignorant and RUDE!!!!
Some guy, by the name of Jesse, leaves this long winded message on my CELL PHONE asking for some guy that I have no clue who it is. He says to reference extension 4229 regarding case 7959673..... ***! What gives anyone any right to call someone's cell phone and leave a long message that makes no sense! So I call the number back and try to expalin to the RUDE women who answer that they have the wrong number. She replies is a ****py tone "fine. you're off the hook". So I ask her "what are you talking about and what hook?" The now dumber than life women replies "THE HOOK, you won't get no calls no more" - she used that exact english - and then she ***g up.
