Leave a CommentRecieved the mortgage letter today asking if interested in re-financing our current mortgage with a new 30yr fixed. Looks official but doesn't indicated any company it represents except the Dept of Corporations. In California, this Department provides protections to consumers, and services to businesses, engaged in financial transactions. This whole thing smells fishy and would be best to throw it away. Sounds like a scam or debt collector
This makes it look like it is from my own mortgage company which is BECU. They have a different phone number. THis came in the mail.
number appears on a Mortgage Refinance offer mailing-- the mailing does NOT id the company but has "official" looking clip art (HUD, Equal Housing). W***ver it is they claim to be licensed by the"Department of Corporations" and are not affiliated with "your lender, HUD, FHA or any government agency." even though all are referenced in the text or clip art. NOT A NUMBER I WILL EVER CALL.
