There is....collectors are prohibited from making collections calls to cellular devices. Nxt time they call tell them they are illegally attmpting to collect on a debt over a mobile phone...
Bs, spam
Keeps calling my phone over an account my wife had 10 years ago. She paid all but a $50 late fee that we disputed. This BS company says she owes $2800, but they will settle for alot less. The guy told me that even though they had no legal recourse , they could still continue to call to collect the debt. Next step, I guess, will have to be a certified letter then if they don't stop it's attorney ti*****is is ridiculous.There should be a law prohibiting this type of collection and /or the sale and purchase of junk debt of this nature.
Same thing here. And they call my house number, which is su****ious since I never give it out for business, including doctors and the like. I always give out my cell number.
Continuously calls and leaves no message.
