Leave a CommentSo these people have called me the past two nights after 6pm harassing me for this money I owe them!! When asked if miss dabney could send me a fax containing this information she sent me an agreement with my name on it but the wrong address, as a matter of fact a completely different state!! She then contacted one of my neighbours claiming to be a law office and wanting information on me my mom and my ***her! I do not recall using this creditor cash net before. But I was a victim of a scam before and they kinda did the same thing but were foreign and told me that I had to pay money or the police would pick me up the next day! I got scared as anyone would and tried to settle the case and gave them money! A lot of money lost and days later realised it was a scam!! What do I do about them continuing to call me and bothering my neighbours? Please help, this is a lot of stress I don't need right now. They are calling me from theses number 716-362-6397, 1888-254-0874 ext 329 fax number 716-332-0706
They've been calling me for months! The woman who's been initiating the calls has told me her name is Theresa Duda. She also gave me 716-332-0706 as a contact number for the Law Offices. I plan to follow your instructions and hopefully, together, we can all stop this insanity.
Thanks! Your****istance is greatly appreciated.
They call themselves "The Law Offices" and claim to have 26 lawyers. However, when asked for some of the lawyers' names, they cannot produce one. Why would I ask for a lawyers name? To check with the New York Bar****ociation and verify if they are indeed a licensed lawyer. They are a collection agency pretending to be a law office which is illegal based on the Fair Debt Collections Act. Here is what you can do:1. Send a letter to "The Law Offices" asking for validation of the debt owed. In the same letter, request that all future correspondence be put in writing and that all phone contact cease immediately. Make a photocopy of the letter for your own records, then send the letter to them certified mail showing proof that it was sent by you and received by them. Here are their addresses:Physical Address:"The Law Offices"4248 Ridge Lea Suite #45Amherst, NY 14226Mailing Address:"The Law Offices"P.O. Box 1426Amherst, NY 142262. After sending this letter, go to the New York Attorney General website and file a consumer complaint. Here is the direct website address: http://www.ag.ny.gov/bureaus/consumer_frauds/filing_a_consumer_complaint.html Scroll down to the Buffalo Regional Office and click on the complaint form. Fill out that form and mail it to the Buffalo Regional Office. The address to send the form to is both on the form as well as on the website given above. Make sure it goes to the Buffalo Regional Office.3. If you have received a letter from them, you can report them for mail fraud. Because they are claiming to be a law office(which they are not) and because they are asking you for money, they are committing mail fraud. Mail fraud is punishable by up to 20 years in jail and up to a one million dollar fine. Go to the United States Postal Inspection website and you can file an online complaint regarding this company.4. Visit the Federal Trade Commission website and file an online complaint with them as well.5. If "The Law Offices" has contacted any of your friends or relatives by phone asking for you claiming they are calling on behalf of a "lawsuit" or "law office", you can sue them for up to $1,000 per infraction in civil court. These guys love to harass people's distance relatives and friends claiming they were given their phone number by you. This is a final step after all the others are done and is handled in civil court. You will have to do your own research on how to go about taking them to court.Doing all of this will stop them from contacting you, help shut down their operation and help put the owners behind bars for a few years.Isn't the internet wonderful? :)
Its a scam dont give them any money
Who is this from?
It's a scam from a supposedly legit company called CashNet. Never have any business with them, filed reports with the police department and faxed and mailed them do***entation several times disputing the claim, which they of course never receive, but still the guys at this number hound us. Too bad they can't visit me in person. I'm sure I could clear all this up with my do***entation.
Collection agency. Sam
