Leave a CommentThis call came and asked for my husband. When I told him he was't here and that I was his wife and could speak on his behalf, they said nothing and ***g up on me. So i guess i won;t be buying.
I called XM Customer Service 800 967-2346, pressed 0, and of course after a five minute wait the phone was answered by someone in India (I would think), and after explaining my problem with constant calls from XM telemarketing, he tried to sign me up to the service. ***!After I finally got him to shut up, I insisted he place my name & number on the internal DNC list, and he said he would make "a note" in my file.Anyone know how to contact management ... and I don't want any customer service number, I want the big guy.
Don't worry it won't be long and they will be out of business! We get the last laugh:)
As you can tell from the post by XM RADIO (9 Aug 2008), XM radio operates by the same rules as organized crime: "we harrass until you buy."Legally, they must abide by their own do-not-call policy, which is here: http://www.xmradio.com/about/do_not_call.xmc However, they don't. The calls are fully automated and cost them nothing. Enforcement options are few. As a result, they have no motivation to stop. You have to motivate them. Here's how: 1) Make your legal request by calling 800-967-2346 (help & support). Ignore the automated menu. Press 0 to get a representative. Be polite; it's not that person's fault that XM ****s. If you want legal proof of your request, make it by certified letter as well. 2) When they don't stop calling (and they won't), YOU s**** calling THEM. Yes, call the 888 number. Be sure to always call from the same number that they called when they harassed you that day. Program it into your auto dialer. Every day that they call you, you call them back as many times as you can. Wait for a person to come on line and answer their*****o. Then set the phone down and walk away. Or, play with them a bit, or don't even bother to wait. In fact, the more you mix it up, the better, because it will be harder for them to distinguish between a genuine sales prospect and you fighting back. Why does this work? Because now it costs them money. Before, they felt they had nothing to lose by calling you daily. But if you keep calling back, it costs them money each time someone answers your call.Because of their harassment, I will never, ever subscribe to XM. Why would I want a relationship with a company that has a policy of disrespecting, bullying, and harassing me? Thankfully, XM is going bankrupt. Meanwhile, I hope the ideas here help you fight back! This is what finally worked for me. Polite requests did not.
Same story here. Never picked up, never will. Phone automatically drops all calls from this number form me. My number also was on national do not call list, they happily ignored it.One thing comes to my mind CLASS ACTION LAW SUITE!Common people, they have to be stopped!
My husband spoke with them directly about a month ago and stated that we did not want the service continued. He also requested that they not contact us a***n. Last night the call came in exactly at 9:00pm, we are in bed by 7:30 or 8 as we get up very early. Why can't they respect our wishes. My husband was curtious and polite.
Well, I followed the very rude note posted by XM(Aug. 9, 2008) and very calmly requested to be taken off the call list. My membership was on a car I had leased, even though it was returned they kept billing. Even after 3 phone calls explaining I no longer had the car. Funny, I was just about to put XM in my new BMW, looks like I'd rather listen to commerical radio than to be treated so rudely.
i don't remember when it s****ed but i keep getting this call every now and then but they NEVER give a reply, it's ****ing me.NO RESPONSE, NO NAME, ALWAYS CALLING---A SOULLESS, LIFE-****ING AUTOMATED MA****E
Well... I usually don't pick up unknown callers... and check here to see whats about. I have purchased a vehicle with a 3 month trial of XM. Never wanted the service... but it was included! I then received a couple of letters trying to sell the service before the 3 month trial expired. After that I s****ed to receive the calls... after the 30th call I decided to pick up. I knew it was XM. It was a polite conversation and I told the lady I was not interested on any satellite radio service. The calls stopped for about 2 weeks and now they are back!I guess "no XM radio trial" will be in my check-list next time I go shopping for a new car (this one is an Acura TL).
DNC ever a***n ANYONE who hasn't requested to talk to you! You are RUDE, ARROGANT and DISRESPECTFUL! If anyone wanted your service, they'd contact YOU. BACK OFF!

Constantly calling. Last call, so far, was at about 10:00 AM CST.
I also keep getting calls from this number, I don't answer it and they don't leave a message, I do not have an XM radio, nor have I purchased or looked at new cars with XM radio.........how do I stop the calls?
Me as well and they don't leave measages.
i keep getting calls from this number, too
Well received my first call tonight. Looked up the number and here I am. Tell XM that you need to be taken off their call list and if you receive any more calls you will file a harassment charge. If that doesn't stop them than you can really file one lol.
this is getting ridiculous considering i have already told them twice before that i do not wish to extend my XM subscription~!!
Getting 2-3 calls a day. The one time I answered, there was no one there. Makes sense that it's XM because the trial subscription on my new car just ran out.
I am getting calls, twice a day, from "888-229-7796". no one is there on the line. It is annoying.not sure how to block them
If what I read is correct that it is XM radio calling, then next tiem I answer the phone it will be the third time I will have told them that we do not wish to extend the contract.
My new vehicle has XM, must be who is calling
Calls about 2-3 times a day. Every day. No one is there when we answer. I hate them. Comments about it being XM radio make sense as we had XM as a trial in a new car (sold about 3 months ago now!). Since we "had" XM radio, we could be considered "a customer", consequently the "Do Not Call" registry may not apply in this case...?If this is what their marketing department is like, can you imagine what their customer service is like?! Idiots!!One Question - WILL IT EVER STOP!?!?!?!?!
