Calling to collect debt from the wrong people! Get the right numbers before calling someone.
Answer the call and the other party ***g up the phone. Put this number to my firewall to block this call
Wrong number multiple times... will not cease and desist
I'm getting about 7 phone calls a day from this company. Each time I answer the phone, there is no one there.
I've been getting calls, to my cell phone, from a guy named Justin. They won't leave me alone! I'm not even 18 yet. I don't know where they got my number, but I thought it was illegal to call cell phones for ****** s**t.
This number keeps calling my phone saying I'm in debt. I'm 17 years old!!!
Received a call today asking for a FRIEND whom I haven't spoken with in about a year in a different state. I stated they had the wrong number. She asked If I knew where they were today. She provided her name and number (no extension). I left a voice mail for my friend about the call and the number. She called back and let me know it was a bill collector. My concerns are HOW did CBCS get my number? I have an unlisted number and am on the do not call list? A credit score in excess 780. A google search of my number reveals nothing. This is a friend, not an ex wife, GF or lover. As a guy who works in the IT security field I find this very disturbing and I actually feel violated.I was called by SUSAN at CBCS 888 325-3826, 23 March 2011 at around 12:15
Collections. I don't owe anyone that would require collection calls. They are ***ue and claim the only name they have to leave is CBCS.
no message left. keeps calling. i am on the do not call list.

Legally 3rd party companies can't e-mail jack, otherwise it violates FDCPA law, but they do have ways of locating relatives, even if you for example don't share the last name or live in a different state. Of course the only information that can be exc****ed is called "location information" which consists of said collector asking said relative for a good home # or address for said debtor. 3rd parties can't e-mail anything to anyone, but original creditors can.
FYI, when you ask a collector to stop calling you via the phone, they don't legally have to, but because you sent them a C&D they legally should, if they don't then the FDCPA is violated. I work in collections (not for this company, they actually called for an ex employee) but at any rate, per the FDCPA until a C&D letter is received they can call the home every 3 days to leave a message & every 7 if they get in contact with you, of course not everyone follows these laws, but telling someone over the phone to stop calling your house doesn't do diddly. Not sticking up for the collectors, but it's basic info that everyone should know when it comes to collections. Also, sending FDCPA quotes to a collection agency doesn't really do you much good, other than look like a guy who simply copies & pastes stuff from various books. Especially when you say off the bat that you tell people to quit calling your house & use statements like "It's fell on deaf ears", which is actually kind of ironic if you look at that situation.
Received a phone call from 888-325-3826 out of the blue, asking for a family member who does not share my last name. We live in two separate states and have limited communication. After a phone call and email to my relative, I received a call from this 888 number asking for them by name. Do these companies have access to email or phone accounts which allows them to trace an incoming number to their primary party of interest?
Nasty lady chasing my dead relative for money.
Their web site says "CBCS is able to obtain Right Party Contact information in real time, a unique advantage over other debt recovery agencies." What this means to you is they will contact family members in an effort to reach you. They called my wife's mom, who has enough sense not to give out personal information. You be careful too.
ANNOYING DEBT COLLECTOR FOR SOMEONE NOT AT THIS #. KEEPS CALLING NUMEROUS TIMES A DAY EVEN AFTER BEING TOLD THEY HAVE THE WRONG #.
Did not anwser call. Caller did not leave a message.
We receive calls from this number on a daily basis as of today we have received 40 unwanted and intrusive calls. We sincerely desire for these intrusions to stop immediately. We are on the nationwide no call list, yet we still receive unwanted calls. We do not answer unidentified calls, but this is becoming too bothersome.
Have no idea who they are looking for. Call once using 888-325-3826 and then call using
They have been calling for over a year. The last message was from Erica looking to collect from some guy named Edward Vanisca. My VM clearly states who I am. I wish these people would leave me alone.
This was a recording from a collection agency called CBCS. They were calling for someone named "G." I have been getting her calls for the five years that I have had this number; there's no point in talking to the debt collectors, because they'll just sell the debt to another collector, who will pull G.'s LexisNexis file and s**** working through her numbers a***n. So I ignore them.
Have received several calls from this number. Trying to reach someone with same last name. No identification. Refuse to give me any information as to name of company. I am on no call list.

Of course my request is falling upon deaf ears. Your company has violated The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which is designed to eliminate abusive, deceptive and unfair debt collection practices. It applies to third party debt collectors or those who use a name other than their own in collecting consumer debts. Your company has called on three seperate occasions. I have, as previoiusly stated, asked your representatives to stop calling me. I received a phone call yet a***n this morning at 0835. I am now putting in writing that I do not have any intentions at the given time frame to pay this debt due to lack of employment and this bill for AT & T is on the bottom of my priority list. § 806. Harassment or abuse A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section: (5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.§ 805 15 USC 1692cconsumer. In the absence of knowledge of cir***stances to the contrary, a debt collector shall****ume that the convenient time for communicating with a consumer is after 8 o’clock antimeridian and before 9 o’clock postmeridian, local time at the consumer’s location;(2) if the debt collector knows the consumer is represented by an attorney with respect to such debt and has knowledge of, or can readily ascertain, such attorney’s name and address, unless the attorney fails to respond within a reasonable period of time to a communication from the debt collector or unless the attorney consents to direct communication with the consumer; or(3) at the consumer’s place of employment if the debt collector knows or has reason to know that the consumer’s employer prohibits the consumer from receiving such communication.(b) COMMUNICATION WITH THIRD PARTIES. Except as provided in section 804, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than a consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.(c) CEASING COMMUNICATION. If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except—(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector’s further efforts are being terminated.I expect all contact via telephone will cease and d****t immediately.Sincerely yours,
It is Credit Bureau Collection agency. They will call at 8:01 am and save last call for 8:58 pm. They are rude, harassing. They Violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I am turning them into the FCC for repeated phone calls after I have requested them to stop calling me.
multiple calls, no message, no ringing more than once or twice. obviously designed to badger recipient..
they call my number 3 or 4 times a day or at least once.Who the heck is this?
I don't listen to these types of calls, I don't even pay it any mind of the company although they told me several times. They have an automated dialer that cycles through numbers.
It's called an automated dialer. These people are Bill collectors. They are snotty and rude as usual.
This number is calling me, and offers no identifying information, leaves no message, and when I call back they refuse to identify themselves.
I get calls from this dern nut most every day and am getting tired of it. If I find out, I will advise the Gov't to do their thing. I am signed in on the "Do NOT Call lists..... 2520
this # calls everyday for the past 4-5 days. when i answer, you hear the phone ringing as if you were calling them. thats shady you think? i ***g up before anyone answered. i dont know if the caller redirects the call elsewhere.
They do not leave a message, rings maybe once or twice, then I have a missed call. I am registered on National 'Do Not Call List'. They have called THREE times today within 4 hours!!!
This is cbcs some type of collection agency looking for someone who has the same name I do. I know that it is not me because all bills are paid on time. They called a few times and even after verifying that I'm not the person. I ended having to give them the option that if I get one more call my personal attorney will file suit. Since then I have not received a call. So****ing should be done to stop this BS. I sent a personal letter to our state general atty. and our governor. This is ridiculous and should be stopped to protect the innocent!!!
They called an online friend I always talk to. Asked for me (chopped my name). Have no idea what this is or how they would even know I talk to this person.
Calls and does not leave message.
