BOA refused to work with me delaying our Mortgage payment by 4 days. So I missed a payment and****essed $***dreds in penalties and they want to know when they are getting paid. So I think the number is legit but I think some hack allows scammers use legit numbers as their false calling numbers to SCAM. Plus this is BOA who has refused every refi attempt and program avail for me denied any delayed payment more than one day without ***dreds in penalties so I would not put it passed them to be behind a scam.

Called this number back and it is the Bank of America calling to try to collect a debt from my dead brother.

Sam: I received a call on Sunday circa dinner time from phone #: 888-325-5357. The robo call female voice advised that they are with Bank of America Home Loans Dept., and that this is not an adverti*****t. The caller went on to advise that I needed to get in touch with them immediately regarding a default on my home loan The voice directed that when I return the call, I need to have my mortgage number ready to submit. (I don't have a mortgage) The voice prompt went on to advise that if I don't have a mortgage, that I am to call a second number::877-430-3412, to speak to an****ociate. REALLY???????? SCAM BIG TIME. DON'T PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION. **** UP AND MAKE A POLICE REPORT AS WELL AS CONTACT THE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES!!!!THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO GET A HOLD OF YOUR PERSONAL ID INFORMATION SUCH AS YOUR DOB, YOUR ADDRESS, YOUR PHONE NUMBER, YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. ONCE THEY GET THIS INFORMATION, THEY CAN EMPTY OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS, AND TAKE OUT LOANS IN YOUR NAME. THIS IS CALLED PHISHING AND IT INVOLVES IDEN***Y THEFT. PROVIDING ANY INFORMATION TO THIS CALLER WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT, AND WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO HONESTLY APPLY FOR CREDIT, YOU WILL BE REJECTED. YOU CAN EVEN BE ARRESTED AND CONVICTED FOR CRIMES THAT INVOLVE THIS PARTY WHEN THEY USE YOUR PERSONAL ID INFORMATION TO TAKE OUT CREDIT OR FUNNEL MONEY TO OTHER CRIMINALS. BEWARE, REPORT IT ALSO TO ALL THREE CREDIT BUREAUS THAT YOU HAD AN ATTEMPTED ID THEFT BY SOMEONE POSING AS BANK OF AMERICA REPRESENTATIVES, AND PLACE A FREEZE ON YOUR CREDIT IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Received a call  from 1-888-325-5357 on 6/14/2011 in ref to an account that I have with BOA. She stated she was a representative with BOA and to call the number back to verify information pertaing to this account. Called BOA  custormer service and gave this information to them. They stated this was fraud/scam. It is a well known fact that BOA or any other banks do not call or e-mail there customers to verify information.A complaint was filed to the DO NOT CALL LIST in ref to this number Be very aware on what is going on..

I have no business whatever with Bank of America.  Would like to contact the Attorney General's Office.  Have tried unsuccessfully to stop these dunning calls.  The word "delinquent" offends me.  I have been harassed for months.

Bank of America home loan debt collections.  I have no home loan with BoA.  I took the info to a local BoA ***nch whereI have my accounts and they are looking into it for me.  The bank did find three others with the same name so it is possible it is a case of misidentification.  I'm not about to give my Social Security number ro a blind call.

They left a message saying they are the Bank of America Home Loan section. We have no such loans. Sounds like a possible scammer. Ignore.

BUT TODAY  WHEN I CALL BACK THE ANSWERING MA****E REPLIED THAT THEY WERE DEBT COLLECTOR OF  BANK OF AMERICA HOME LOAN DIVISION. IT WAS ASKING FOR MY ACCOUNT # OR SOCIAL SECURITY # OF THE HOME OWNER FOR IEDNTIFICATION B/4 TRANSFERING ME TO THEIR REP. SINCE I COULDN`T SUPPLY THE INFO IT THEN DIRECTED ME TO SEND MAIL TO P.O.BOX5170, SIMILEAN CALIFONIA OR FAX MY DETAILS INFO TO FAX: 805-520-5019. WHEN I CALL THIS FAX FOR CONFIRMATION IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD
