Does anyone has a FAX number to the Direct TV CEO's office?
I will attempt to send a hardcopy letter to the Direct TV CEO, but here is my story for you guys to know and learn as well. We received this letter on September 2008 concerning devices that were not returned to Direct TV. We have contacted Direct TV to notify that those (4 devices) items requested by DIRECT TV with boxes and labels were returned, shipped, delivered and received via FedEx on August 28, 2008 at the Direct TV Tennessee warehouse. Attach is a copy of our FEDEX tracking information with each detail. A second notice concerning the same issue received. We contacted a***n Direct TV on 11/24/08 a***n and requested the customer service representative to tell us which devices were missing. The customer service representative (lady) was very kind researched and found that DIRECT TV was referring to 4 devices. I told her about same FEDEX packages. We asked her to escalate the problem to the supervisor or manager to resolve this issue. On the first week of Dec 2008 we received a telephone call from a Collection Agency. We requested the collector to contact Direct TV right away and make a three way conference call to clarify this issue. The Direct TV customer service representative (man) this time explained that it was a 5th device missing. The collector got disconnected somehow but we keep explaining the DIRECT TV customer representative that we bought on 4/28/07 a DVR and contacted Direct TV to get it activated (ATTACH CIRCUIT CITY RECEIPT). The customer service representative transferred us to another department and the telephone call got disconnected. We had no clue where he was trying to get us transfer to, he did specify which department or who. Since this issue is about a device we bought in Circuit City with our own money, we have taken the time and attention to detail to request Circuit City to****ist us by providing us a copy of the receipt showing the DVR purchase in order to demonstrate Direct TV that we purchase a DVR which I am sure is the one is the device in question. Please with all your respect, this is all common sense and takes a couple minutes to put the puzzle together. The service account and 4 devices were activated one specific day EARLY APRIL 2007, and then later on the device in question was activated and installed by one of your technicians on a LATER date on 2007. I am sure you can track and investigate with your warehouse or department that sends equipment to customers and track it. You can look at the logs and see that only 4 devices were sent to us to get us s****ed with the service back in 2007. We are trying to find out the following: Which devices (Serial Numbers, Model, RID) were activated originally when the service was activated? Which date we contacted to activate the device DVR in question (bought in Circuit City)? When the service account was terminated in August 2008, how many labels and for which devices did Direct TV mailed to us the boxes and labels? Did those labels sent to us to return devices were for 4 DEVICES or 5 DEVICES? o Attach copies of labels we received to return devices It is our intension to clarify and resolve this issue AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. However, after your investigation DIRECT TV has possession of the device we bought in Circuit City and that the one we have in our possession is yours, then we will more to happy to ship to Direct TV warehouse to exc****e the correspondent device and get this resolve.
jam, it sounds like the tech's were the problem. I had a issue with my dish installer guy, that is why i called the number. I ended up getting the Direct TV and there installer was not much better but i got through it. i must say that i do like the direct tv better then my old dish. any time i have a question i just call that same number back and someone helps me. much better then the computer i used t talk to at dish network. what was the $10 for? I thought you paid the hughes guy.
i called the 888 number to c****e to direct tv from dish, and the troubles began!!! the mans name that i delt with was bryce and he was very helpful in getting my hughes sat setup and getting my equipment delivered, but thats where this story goes bad.... when the installer showed up the first thing i had to have was a company pole to put the sat on (100.00) i paid cash for this, then next comes the direct tv installer who says i have to run there cable 120 out to the road to get service at 2.00 a foot. i told them no thanks and have been trying ever since (4 months now) to get my money back that they took out of my account (200.00) today i recieved a letter stating that i owe them 10.00 and you guess it, the number on the paper was bogus The companys name is FUNDISH of florida with a TWINSBURG OH address maybe one you guys who who thinks they are so great would be willing to put your money where yor mouth is and send me my refund????
why not....you do get money for sending friends and family over i already sent 3 people....that's 150.00...with gas prices to day it has been a big help...it's like having a second part time job for me. I am happy with the service and so are the 3 people i refered....none of us got "scamed" This is not fraud...we all knew we were swit****g to Direct Tv...we had two different reps go over the order with us....we all got better customer service....a better service a better deal and way more channels... I am not a Dish rep...I am just a very happy customer who received very good service...i'm not too sure why all these people are whining....bddehn thinks just because there are people that are actually happy there has to be so****ing obviously wrong...the only thing that is obvious is that some people can never be happy and as far as around the corner i'll tell you what happened...i saved a bunch of money and i got better customer service...if you would switch to direct tv you wouldn't be soo ****ed that you could never get a hold of dish..at least i can talk to someone who speaks english....so bddehn just keep looking at that high sat bill...maybe you need gl***** because it is obvious that YOU are dialing the wrong number. so maybe you should go around the corner and buy some new gl*****????? Then I'm sure you will b***h at them for so****ing too.
bddehn, I called the 1-800 number 10 times and the 1-888 number 10 times and got dish with the 800 and direct with the 888. there is no way you called 800 and got direct. I think you are like most of the people on here and can't admit you made a mistake. instead you rather cover up your mistake and say someone is trying to scam you or pull some fraud.... I called the wrong number, I admit that. I got a better service and a lower bill for doing so! how can I be mad at that? My family comes over every sunday now to watch the football games (i get every single one!)and they all say how they should get the direct tv service after seeing mine. I think i get money for sending them over to direct tv. it just keeps getting better and better!
By the way there is no way we all mistakenly called the wrong number...so****ing is up with this situation. I was looking right at the dish billing and did not dial 1-888, I dialed 1-800.
So****ing is obviously wrong with these last couple posters [Dish reps???]!!! I can tell you that in two recent separate days [1] I called the number on my Dish Network bill to discuss c****ing over to our new bank for autopayment and ended up talking to these people and [2] my wife was getting calls for 2 straight days thereafter on her CELL PHONE from these people leaving messages indicating they were from Dish networ****! We both spoke to their reps and were not informed they were from Direct TV until we pushed them to pull up our accounts to handle to c****eover. At that point they both admitted they were selling Direct TV and began a very pushy sales pattern!!! You can argue all you want about the definition of Scam, however FRAUD is when someone misperceives you into thinking they are someone else!!! No matter the ultimate consequences... And who in thier right mind would trust any person that falls into this category.. I will say that if in fact the last couple posters are real they have a tough life ahead of them in general and do not have a clue what will be happening to them right around the corner with this situation.
i called the same number and i was thrilled to reach these people....they identified themselves right away as an authorized retailer for direct tv....i was offered a better deal...the rep i talked to was very knowledgeable, professional....i received better equipment and was offered a better service....it was such a blessing that i called this wonderful business...as far as giving them my info...it was just the same as my cell phone company or any other businesses that i have dealt with where there is a contract involved...think about it the equipment is very expensive...(dvr plus 3 recvrs) i then even spoke to the reps supervisor where she went over all the details one more time with me. this was a very pleasant experience and i am also considering calling them back for internet service. i will refer this company to all of my family members and friends.
if you are reading this post then you have seen the many people that have felt mislead by these companies. there are some truths to their comments, but they also should be held accountable for their own actions. because voluntarily gave out personal identifiable information to people they do not even know. these people are victims of their own accord. the definition of a scam is to obtain money by means of deception. so in fact these people knew that they were getting setup with directv service from the s****. these people are just upset because they realized how ****** there were made out to be. just get over it. we all make mistakes and learn from them.
I called this number thinking it was a dish number. I guess it was my fault that i called the wrong number not theirs. anyways, I talked to someone there who did tell me they were direct tv before they asked me anything personal. Of course I still thought it was dish because that is who I thought I called. I kept asking how I got Direct TV... The guy said that there are several numbers that are close together in numbers and this was the number to s**** new service with Direct TV. I am not sure why everyone on here is talking "scam" and "lawsuit" that is what is wrong with this country. It would be like if you tried to call blockbuster and dialed the wrong number and got NetFlix. How can I get mad at someone for my mistake? The person at this number did offer me a better deal then what i was getting and a much better deal on the new receivers then dish network was offering me. I also liked the fact they are in the USA and not India or ****a. I did not end up swit****g but the customer service in India at Dish is s****ing to **** me off... I might just switch over some time soon. Did anything bad happen to anyone at this number? Like credit fraud or theft or so****ing like that? The guy I talked to seem nice and the deal sounds good.... what to do???
I have also been *****ed; I call the 866-386-3474 number trying to get them to explain where the $49.99 went to that they took out of my account. I call them at least six times a day just to P--- them off, I always get a different ****, which makes it fun. I have over $600.00 worth of equipment sitting in my living room still in boxes, and never opened, after I told them to cancel my order. This really set them off; I wanted to know how to send the equipment back to where it came from and they can’t seem to give me an answer, so I told them I would put it on EBay, and sell the s—t. This got their attention and now they said they would have UPS stickers sent to me to return the equipment. I did manage to acquire their fax number at Twinsburg, Ohio, which is (1-330-405-3087). I also sent an email to the CEO of Direct TV, ([email protected]), and tried to explain what was going on with this boiler room operation that is giving Direct TV a bad rap. I have not had a response from him yet, could be he knows what is going on. The only thing I can suggest is what I am doing; I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney Generals office in Arizona. This operation is so elaborate, and spread out across the country, I doubt there is anything anyone can do except try and get the word out the best we can.
This is the biggest scam.... Yes, I was rilled in by these ********! I have had a***** of a time trying to get the equipment sent back. I cannot reason with them at all, about getting my money back! And, get this, I was dumb enough to give them my SS# and Credit Card #!!!!!! Never, ever, call this number by accident. These SOB's know that the only people who call this phone number are Dish Network Customers... they are C-O-N-S!
So what can be done about these guys? I bought and everything seemed fine, but now I'm getting collection letters for $100.00 for so****ing that I absolutely do not owe. When I have called in the past they tell me that it is an error, and disregard the letter and they will take care of it. The letter I got today was from Fundish of Florida in Ohio and threatens to report to the credit bureaus if it is not paid in 7 days. The phone no. on the letter is 1 886-386-3474, but when I dial I get a "the number you have dialed cannot be completed as dialed" phone co. recording.
Unfortunately they were able t fool me....same thing, called dishnetwork, and they answered. HOW IS THAT POSIBLE??? Probably the cable company's # is rerouted to this big scammers.I gave my SN, and address...but she was so pushy, so eventually I got su****ous, when she got confused about the prices, and wanted to force me to get direct tv insted, which I found strange, as I called dsh network. The number she - Shalia - gave me to all her back, was 866 386 3473.What is the way to file class action???
it is a scam! they make you think you are calling dish network...the number does go to 3 or 4 different directv retailers. xsatellite in irvine not only deceives customers but involves innocent employees in the fraudulent activity. a class action is a great idea. this deceptive tactic has put many people acrossed the nation in a bad spot. creating huge expenses for cancellation fees, misrepresented "promo" programming fees, unauthorized warranties.....especially by a guy named andrew with xsatellite. the number 18003333474 is also sometimes "hacked" and will land your call with xsatellite or a place in ohio called fundish. on several occasions at different times either of the mentioned numbers (888 or 800 333 3474) will connect with one of these directv retailers. i wonder if directv itself is aware of this bull****? and dish network i bet would like to know too. many people have been xploited xpensively by xsatellite. most of the reps are somewhat helpful (even though the practice is to deceive) but there are some who lack any sense of m****s or ethics and really cause monetary problems for unsuspecting dish network customers. ***** *******s!
Same thing, I was calling Dish and they let me think I was speaking to them, and stating he needed to verify my info ... I gam himmy name address & telephone number WE SHOULD FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT A***NST THEM -- the administrative costs of such a thing will shut them down for sure!!
I accidentially called this number thinking I was calling dish network and the guy went on and on and then said that he could upgrade me but only if I switched to Direct TV. Then I realized I wasn't really talking to dish network. The guy then asked for my SS# and that is where the conversation ended.
true same here
This number 888-333-3474 is an intentional fake of Dish Networks 800-333-3474! They know what they are doing and this number does not hook up with only one satellite dealer it goes to many all over the country including cleavland, OH and California...from what i understand...with directTV! They will try to lead you on and try to run soft credit checks and get your credit card #'s etc... and also try to "upgrade" you which in fact means selling you a different service and equipment. Little hint Dish Network already knows all of your personal info and only asks for bits of it to verify your account! I almost fell victim to this ploy until they ask me for my entire social security # instead of just the last four digits. Be aware! cheaters and thieves most of them! complete s*** i agree! also another # they are linked to is 866-386-3473 ext. 544 His name is adam and back tracks very quickly and attempts to be smooth if you call him on his dishonesty! Do Not Deal!
