Leave a CommentThe person who answered the phone said he could get a better rate through hertz if I used American Express debit card. So I purchased a American Express gift card and the next day when I called to verify-the phone number was disconnected. He gave me a phone number, extension and name.

A fake amazon Mac confirmation order. The emailer doesn’t even belong to the official Amazon’s email nor is this fake “phone number”.
It said order confirmation from Amazon for purchase of a Macbook pro for $1,790.00 but it was obviously a phishing scam, do not call the number in the email, listed above because it's a scam.
Trying to "verify" a large order. Clearly prompting you to reply because you never placed that order to begin with.
This number was given to call re a supposed Amazon order -which was in fact not mine at all. I called, got a man with a very strong accent, supposedly Customer Service but the whole thing did not feel right.and when he wanted me to download a software so he could "help me resolve the issue with my account" I chose to **** up, and then sent a separate phishing note to the real Amazon.. including the number I had spoken with.
This number is what was given in an email re a bogus Amazon order , ironically labeled "if this is not your order, please call .... so we can verify your account."When checking the number online it shows a foreign name. I chose to call the number, got a half minute of rather off music then supposedly an Amazon customer service man, with a very strong accent. I played along until he wanted me to download a program "to allow Amazon security to resolve the issue for me online." That I know is NOT a good idea, and I ***g up and sent a phishing note to Amazon- the REAL Amazon
