Leave a CommentIF you can turn your phone off or c****e your number do it. Leave the phone off unless you have to call someone - they will tire of it going straight to voicemail OR remove your voicemail all together is best.
Ascension Point Recovery Services, LLC (“APRS”) - 1 (888) 806-9073 ext 2097 Forget her name she was very nice. She called to collect a debt for a deceased relative. Collection from someone who had nothing in probate and no executor of the nonexistent estate but LOTS of DEBT!! Thousands of dollars - they will keep calling and leaving msgs for at least a year and a few months. The calls will remain unanswered or returned and any letters trashed. The relative is dead and no estate to attach the debt to and no one who will pay it. Attorney Payne Explains why you should ignore collection for a dead person: http://topomyhead.com/2012/03/02/hms-just-ignore-them/ http://topomyhead.com/tag/ascensionpoint-recovery-services-llc/
Yes Grave diggers with no Soul trying to scam responsibility for my Moms estate !...
This number has contacted me at least 2-4 times daily...claiming they need to clear up debt from my moms estate..i am so tired of them calling..they call in the morning and night... i am so ready to report them...just received a call this morning as well..they did tell me that if i wanted them to quit calling i would have to give them the phone number..i would not give them the satisfaction. checked out their website too. i really want them to stop such a pain
I don't know this company and they are trying to get info on my deceased mother-in-law.
I got a call from them today about my mothers estate. She has been gone 3 years and is survived by my ***her. My first thought was scam but now that I have read all of these postings I'm angry. I am going to report them to the attorney generals office in my state. Everyone should do the same and see if we can get them shut down. How low can these people be.
Unbelievable!!! I received a call from this "Ascension Point" and after reading all of these posts, I will not return the call. My dad passed 3 months ago.
They called me 10 times for genetic service and other ****s =_=
I am now receiving two calls a day from this place...Ascension Point. They are asking to speak to a representative of my late sister's estate. I just ignore them. I never signed or co-signed anything w/ my sister while she was alive & I'm not reponsible for any debt she left behind. I find it annoying, however & would like for them to stop calling. So, I'm going to look into my rights and see if I can make them pay me somehow.
I too received calls (plural) from a Lilla or Lola Watson at this number in regards to a friends' estate. I can't do anything about it. They wanted the final figures for Mark's Estate. These people knew I was/am supposed to be the executrix, even theough the legal notice has not yet been published.I was given a number and an extension number for the person so I could call back...Am letting the attorney handle it...

My husband died in January leaving no estate. He had filed bankruptcy years ago when he lost his business. I have been getting calls that defy human compassion. I am not responsible for these debts and the calls cause me physical illness. This last one from Ascension Point...they announced that they knew he was dead and wanted his next of kin to call. How low can you go? I only hope that someday these trained representatives will have the pleasure of being called when their loved one die leaving a less than stellar financial record.
"Bob" must be an employee of this s***bag collection agency.
Same as Jen---Estate of the late Margeret Williams. These creeps have a web-sit ascensionpoint.com , I suggest everyone ****ard them with emails
Same creep lookin for the estate of Mildred Williams, Should be ****
They called this morning, didn't leave a message. Called back, left a message claiming to be looking for a "personal reference" for a late ****, which is my sister husband that I haven't seen in many years! How did they get MY information? Her name was Sari at ext 4077. Don't know if I'll be calling back...
Got a call from them in regards to my recently deceased ***her. And by recently, I mean I haven't even gotten a ***** certificate or found out cause of ***** yet. These people are vultures. I don't know how they would get my cell phone number either.
A woman left a message on my ma****e saying she was a company representative for the estate of my deceased sister in law, asking me to call her back. Kind of sneaky to imply that I'm a beneficiary of some sort when they are a collection agency. How horrible to prey on grieving family members. Judging by comments here, they seem to specialize in debts of the dead. Unless it's a joint account, I think those debts are uncollectible legally. I will not call them back.
BEWARE - 888-420-2******longs to Ascension Point and they try to collect money from the estates/relatives of deceased people for credit card accounts that are delinquent. The account they call about may be a valid delinquent account, but most likely does not belong to the person who is deceased. They use the probate filings to find relatives of deceased individuals and prey on your sympathy to get money for a debt that doesn't belong to your relative. They tried this with me, had a valid acct that was sold by Bank of America to a collection agency 10 years ago. BOA cannot identify who the account holder was, only who they sold the account to. I told Ascension POint they were scaming me, but if they were legitimate to contact our attorney, gave them his name and number and told them to contact him about resolving the debt. Also, told them to send me and our attorney a copy of every letter sent to my mother, and all do***entation on the matter.
My ***her recently passed away a couple of weeks ago, and needless to say, I am still grieving. These people called me today and said my ***her owed £20,000 to them and it's up to me to pay it off. I told them to get f***ing *****ed and shove their ***** scams up their scamming a**es. I am in the right frame of mood to seek legal action a***nst them, which I'm going to do. What they're doing is disgusting.

**** named "KEN" called about my deceased mother's minimal credit card bill. Got very personal about Life Insurance and her "Estate" somehow had addresses that family members have moved to AFTER her *****. I didn't give any info, told him not to call a***n, and he still had the gall to ask me for a "voluntary payment"!!! Oh...and it's also the DAY AFTER MOTHER'S DAY!!!! Don't even bother returning these people's calls. You'll just end up upset.
caller was seeking info regarding my deceased mother . ASKED TO VERIFY HER SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
These people are pathetic, who would be willing to clear a debt owed by a deceased family member. what exactly is the point of that? its clear they are already deceased I could really care less if their credit score is effected by this or not, Just *60 the *******s and be done with it
S*** BAGS!!!! Uncle has been dead for over a year. After I asked Carrie if she would pay her dead uncles debt, "OH YES". Bull ****. do not answer, do not return thier calls. This is a direct number to soul-less people in*****.
SOUL-LESS PEOPLE that prey upon greaving loved ones. If you give these people 1/2 second thought to pay them,....DON'T!!!! Vultures.
Betty Olsen called today, Carrie Olin or Olsen called last week inquiring about who was in charge of a deceased relative's estate and finances. I had read the posts below after Carrie's call and have not provided them with ANYTHING until I can confirm that "Ascension Point", their firm, is legitimate. Judging from the posts, I remain highly skeptical. When asked how they obtained my number, they replied, "skip tracing".
I had someone from this company leave me a message asking for call back. It turned out to be about an account of my mom's that I didn't know existed. They were very pleasant to work with & helped me resolve this issue. I'm surprised to see all the negative things on this company on this site.
stop caliing
