I got a call from them earlier this week.  Same thing, please call us during business hours to talk about a legal matter. I called them back from a pay phone, and they want money from me for a Columbia House bill.  Odd since I never signed up with Columbia House, so I told them to stop bothering me since I'm not paying. I told them that if they wanted to sue the wrong person over $87.78, the be my guest.  They haven't called back.

I just got a call from them and it's odd because all my bills are paid up... the only one I can think of is not a bill.. it a loan with the bank and it's not even in repayment yet and my student loans don't go into repayment until December.I've been reading a lot about what most people have said here... they're calling about bogus accounts that they've never had. It's kinda got me worried but at the sometime I know I'm not behind.

Seriously. How many collectors who break the law are posting messages acting like people who had to deal with them?  For us real people who just got *****ed because someone has the same name and an account shows-up on our credit report, please don't post that legit BS.  Fact is Recovercorp uses illegal ****ods to pursue debtors and yeh some of them do owe, but being a &^$#@? about it just shows your incompetence and lack of s****s. Otherwise you would not be working as a collection agent.  Natural born demons and people who become demons are collection agents, because ***ody chooses to do that if they have real s****s.  Sorry but it's the truth.  Don't lie to yourselves because every single individual I have known would rather spend their days picking up dog ****.  It's a funny subject, as the jobs people would do instead are just so ridiculous. Unless you are decent and just deal with people properly. PS Alexia is horrible.  They know the debt is not mine, but want to collect anyways.  I got a letter about an account that I never had and never dealt with the company period, ever.  No affiliation with them at all, now why should I pay for so****ing that is not mine and worse be treated like **** for it.  And you wonder why people have nothing good to say about a collection agency, except for the people employed by them.  Come on, it's obvious that previous posts are from people who's company uses them or the employees of Recovercorp themselves.  Answer the phones over there too, I'm tired of voicemail.

It would help if they'd actually answer the phone or call you back. I'm actually surprised no one answers and it always goes to a answering ma****e. Whats more, its enraging when they're trying to collected a debt which is false and you can't get ahold of them to correct it.grr

lol i deal with rci on a regular basis and they are not scammers. i often have accounts paid out in my store for people that owe recover corp inc because someone decided to get ***** instead of pay their bills. stop complaining and stop being such a loser. teach ur kids how to pay bills, not hide from them. ur making some pretty pathetic future leaders if you ask me!!!!!you asked for the money, you knew you had to pay it back, so do it! you signed legal binding do***ents yet you think u dont have to pay? im really big on law suits and looove having you people investigated for fraud

actually i work for an international finance company and that number is recover corp. its a collections company so if they are calling you, its because you didnt pay your bills or you are a reference for someone who didnt pay their bills. blocking their number wont make the bills go away!!!!!!

DONT NOT BE FOOLED BY PEOPLE CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER. YES THEY "MAY HAVE SOME LICENCE" HERE IN CA***A(WHICH THEY HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT) BUT THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE THEM FROM SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY THEY HAVE ALREADY PAID ON BILLS. THERE IS A STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS HERE IN CA***A AND WHEN A DEBT  IS FROM 10-15 YEARS OLD IT IS A SCAM FOR THEM TO TRY TO COLLECT. STATUTE OF LIMITATION IS 7 YEARS AFTER THAT THEY CAN NOT SUE OR FORCE YOU TO PAY EVEN THRU THE COURTS I WENT TO A REAL LAWYER AND HE SAID IGNORE THE CALLS OR C****E THE NUMBER.EITHER WAY THEY DONT HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON AFTER 7 YEARS. UNLESS YOU ARE CR***Y AND OFFER TO PAY THEM OR S**** A PAYMENT PLAN. THEN THE STATUTE OF LIMITATION RESETS TO ZERO AND YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE CALLS FOR ANOTHER 7 YEARS (OR WIN THE LOTTO AND PAY THEM OFF ) WORD OF ADIVSE.... IF YOUR DEBT HAS BEEN 7 YEARS OR OVER THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO FORCE YOU TO PAY AND THEY LEGALLY CAN NOT  COLLECT THRU THE COURTS IF YOU HONESTLY CANNT PAY THEN DONT EVEN ANSWER THE CALL =)

actually RecoverCorp Inc. is listd with the Ministry of Ontario, and is a reputable collection agency with big name clients. So chances are if you are contacted by them you are a debtor who does not pay your bills...also if they call your relatives or friends it's because you borrowed money from a payday loan place and gave the names out yourself as references, which is exactly why you are asked to provide this info...for wehn you skip out and they need to get a message to you...really pathetic that so many of you complain when it's time to pay up but have no problem scamming companies out of there money :(

for all you DEAD BEAT DBTRS, Recovercorp is a licenced collection agency with the ministry of consumer affairs also regestered with the better business beuro, rocvercorp is not a SCAM as i have delt with them personaly to rectifie my outstanding dbt before it hit my credit i would sugest doing the same. PS i delt with alexia and she was amazing in helping me clear up my dbt. pss the do not call list doesnt work with collection agencys avoiding the fact that you have not paid a bill will not make it go away. i learnt that the proper way by investagating into this.PAY YOUR BILLS and they will stop calling

This is RecoverCorp Inc, a collection agency out of Ca***a.  Their caller ID reads Allstream.  Also the number 905-831-7383.

Received a call from (905) area code, however, in the message the above number was left, with extension 273.  Said her name was Alexia with RCI and gave a reference #.  However, the person they asked for is actually a former neighbour of mine, therefore, definitely a collection agency, and they would have gotten my number by running an address search and calling people around her as I lived right next door to her.

its actually a reputable collection agency, which means if th ey're callling you, youre a dead beat debtor so pay your bill!!

Collection agency called Recover Corp.  Website recovercorp.com.  Very very rude on the phone.  They also call under the name Allstream.

Will try to get you credit card number.. it's supposed to be a collection agency on papers, but it's not!  People there wants your credit card and will still your money!  Don't waste your time!  They will try to call you parents, work and familly.  The fact is that an collection agency can't call people to get information on you.  Be careful!  They speak bizzard engli***  They are not from here...

yeah they called here as well but the funny thing is they said my full name that it was a serious matter i have tryed to call it back and keep getting a ma****e i have been told not to call it back incase we get a hugh phone bill i think as well as everyone else that it is a scam im sure if they say your name when they leave a message on your phone cause you never answered it then they got it from somewhere thats crazy ppl make's me mad dont answer this call really i think it is a scam

They called saying it was a legal matter and they had a file number it was extremely important they talk to my son. scared the heck out of me I thought that so****ing horrible had happened, that is until I looked up your site and found out they do that to everyone.  I won't even answer it a***n. I blocked their number from my phone.

yah they call and say its not a telemarketer, but it is VERY URGENT i call back but they dont say why, and they sure sound like one to me... SCAM,
