Leave a CommentGave a case number on my phone and said I was going to miss a court date. The call was for someone with a different last name than mine and I have never been served court papers. Scammer
This number falsely identified themselves as the Clark County Clerks Office. They are actually a scam collection company called Hawthorn. They claimed they were going to sue me for over 20K on a previous defaulted credit card....which by the way....I never owned that particular credit card they were claiming to be mine. Red Flag #1 They also claimed they would be serving me with on a particular day between 11am and 4pm. No one EVER warns people of being served...Red Flag #2 Then when I ask them about statute of limitations they claimed it to be 7 years. FALSE, the statute of limitations on credit cards in Nevada is 4 years. Red Flag #3 GO POUND SAND scammers!!! By the way, they did have my social and dob...but it was probably obtained on the dark web from one of the Hacked companies of the past who lost millions of consumers information to the hack. Be Careful people. NEVER FALL FOR IT!!
