Leave a CommentComputer locked up. Windows Defender warned about illegal activity and said to call this number for Microsoft support. I did and person answering walked me through several steps that was leading to "access now", which said it was to allow access to my computer from other computers. It felt hinky. I told him I was uncomfortable doing that and disconnected. I ran a McAfee scan on my computer, and it came up as clean with no threats. Thought I would run the number here to see if it came up as Microsoft. It didn't.
