Leave a CommentSeemed pretty legit to me. After going through a short phone tree and holding for a minute I ended up talking to a recruiter named Adam. He asked for my name and address (all publicly available info), confirmed the ***nch that I had applied for, then asked a few simple questions about my work history, whether I had ever been a teller, sold products, etc. There was one interview-y question, so****ing like: "Tell me about a time you had a problem with a customer, and how you handled it". The whole call lasted all of five minutes, and then he said they would be in contact within 30 days if they wanted to interview me for a position.
It was an actual call from Wells Fargo recuitment center, they made the interview, they didn't ask for any personal info they matched my file with the telephone number i was calling from, so it looks like a legit number.Good luck with your job search to all! :D
I wouldn't trust a "Wells Fargo Recruiter" that can't spell. I got this phone call also and believe it to be a scam of sorts. I am going to stop at my local ***nch and inquire about it though. I did also apply for a job at Wells Fargo and now I am nervous it was some sort of phishing attempt.
I need to have my password reset can someone help me. My email address is [email protected] YouPatrice Ridley
I had a call from them too offering me an interview, they said they'd email me a confirmation.. i have yet to get anything 24 hours later... is it a real offer?
Also, to answer mor questions. We only give that certain number out because it is the number to our national recruitment center where all of our screenings are done. When we call you, it shows up as 000-000-0000 becuase we dont need 1300 people a day getting our numbers and calling us. Trust me it would be HR overload.Hope this helps guys.
I AM A WELLS FARGO RECRUITER! This is not a scam. We process thousands of applications per day so this is the process that makes the most sense for the company. Are hours are 7-11 because we service all locations nationwide (think about time zones). Sometimes this can be a long process, but remember, there are 1300 people per day going for the same job so give us some slack :).WF HR
This is a legit number. I completed my online screening yes****ay and I printed out the confirmation paper. I just checked the paper I printed and this number is exactly the number I had to call yes****ay for the phone screening. After I was done with the phone screening, the lady from Wells Fargo HR told me that I would be getting another call from a number with three 000 in it or an email for a further interview. Has anyone gotten a call back? Did anyone get a job?
Not a scam, it's a phone number you need to call for a phone interview with Wells Fargo careers.
It is not a scam. It's a 3rd party who does recruitment for Wells Fargo. Sometimes they'll call you but only if you haven't completed the voice screening yet, which is what you're supposed to do after the web screening. The web screening is what you do when you apply online, then you call that number to do the voice screening. It's not a scam because they'd only have your information if you gave it to them in the first place.
I, too, applied for a job at WF. I completed the phone screening and was told I would be contacted at some point for a ***nch interview (which never happened). I just received this call today from #100 on my phone and was told to call the 888 number to "provide more information." I thought this was super weird because I already DID the phone interview, why the heck would I have to call the recruitment center a***n? I figured they'd make me do the phone interview a***n and it wasn't worth it if I wasn't hearing from a ***nch manager, so I never called back. Now I am VERY glad I didn't call back after reading these posts. Thank you very much, Enrique, for your help.
Do NOT! I REPEAT - DO NOT GIVE FURTHER INQUIRY TO THESE PEOPLE OR THEIR ORGANIZATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!I received the call about an hour ago and felt quite skeptical about who they said they claimed to be. First of all, no HR rep. or manager, nor HR department is open After 5pm. No matter what time Zone. Second listen to their accent when they read aloud the 888 number, its a very distinctive African accent, absolutely no offense. And most noticeably, how the number is displayed on your caller Id, mine showed up as a 100000#.I called an actual Wells Fargo Rep. and told them the situation. I then asked them to verify the number (they can do this by checking their system directory). The Rep quickly informed me that this was in fact not a number affiliated with Wells Fargo, but a ****od called fishing. Where the Scammers try to obtain as much info as they can to ultimately "steal" your iden***y.Finally, I too have applied for Wells Fargo, and i HAVE gotten a call for an interview, however the call was from an actual Wells Fargo ***nch Manager. So please have patience, if they call you it will be form a Wells Fargo ***nch Manager.
I am having the same wierd calls. I applied for a job with WF and I did the phone screening, and then I got an email to call this number! He said he was just checking in on how things were going for me and it was a very strange phone call. And now 2 weeks later I get an email saying they are ready to schedule my interview and to call this same number! I am really confused because I tried to call the number and just got a recording but it doesn't say anything about WF on the message!!!! Is this a scam???!?!??! And do you know if in the application it asked for ssn# ??? Anyone know any answers about this!!!!
This is not a scam. It is an official number for wells Fargo recruitment. The only odd thing is they usually don't call you, you call them to complete a phone screening.
Mandy called me and left a voicemail saying that she was from Wells Fargo HR and told me to call back at 1-888-534-5757. I did, however, think that it was odd that their hours are 7 am - 11 pm CT. I didn't think much of it but called back. I talked to someone named Randy. He said that he wanted to ask me a few more questions (since I had applied to the job at Wells Fargo). I didn't know which location he was talking about but he said one of the locations in which I did apply for so didn't think anything odd... But now that I read so many of these comments, I'm a bit worried... I didn't give him any personal information but I'm still curious.
I got a call today, number showed up on caller id as 000-000-0000, but the man on the message told me to call this number. (18885345757) He said his name was Robbie from Wells Fargo HR.I also had received an email from "Wells Fargo" a week or so ago telling me to call this number. I *had* applied for a job with WF and was called to set up an interview, but so****ing happened with the lady and I never ended up getting the interview. So I was unsure if this email was legit or not.Now this just re-assures me that it is all a scam...
Yes this is a scam. my grandma got popped by this and she ended up losing 3,500 dollars.
I got a call from this number and they claimed to be a recruiter for Well Fargo bank the bank I have a credit card balance with. They gathered info and asked me to come into there office. My question is. Do I trust this?
I am tired of getting un-wanted calls from this number. They call 3 to 4 times a day, sometimes as early as 7 a.m., including weekends. This needs to stop, NOW!!
