Leave a CommentA legit company would put its company name on the fax.... just saying.Jay - I sure hope they're paying you overtime... I've seen your name all over the complaint boards trying to do serious damage control. (with little to no success) You're spreading yourself too thin.. why don't you take a vacation? I just heard of this amazing deal.... let me fax it to you 17 million times! For anyone else reading this, check out the complaints on 800notes.com, he's even more defensive on that site!
We've just received one of these unsolicited faxes. If this Jay Hammond person is real (he's certainly not a professional, judging by the spelling and grammatical errors littering his postings) then he needs to bear in mind that the vast majority people object strongly to receiving unsolicited communications in ANY form. Why else would there be laws a***nst sending this junk? Why else would there be organisations such as Mailing/Telephone/Fax Preference Service? It MAY be that he's had a great many satisfied customers - but how many out of how many unsolicited communications sent? Apathy rules the day and many people will just think "what a ******" and destroy/delete the communication without making a complaint or doing anything else about it.The person who said that Hammond is stealing our paper and toner is absolutely correct. Why on earth should we, the victim, pay for the cost of advertising that we didn't ask for?Central State's UK number is quoted on this fax as 0800 883 8807. This is a freephone number, so if anyone has the time and inclination, they can call this number and waste Central State's time and money.Central State do, in fairness, give a website - www.deletemyfax.com - if you want to be removed from the database, but in why should we have to "opt out"of so****ing we never wanted to be "in" in the first place?I would be interested in hearing "Hammond"'s views on that.

Jay: Is your number in the **X area code? you: Waiting for your response about safety before I make a decision.Jay: pardon but this is for people who are true and real interest.. that is a rediculous question. Have a nice dayJay: Just like I blocked your phone, I can block you here too .. sorry for your luck..
It IS illegal within Ca***a to send adverti*****t faxes as per the Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-35. Central State Travel/Travel 1 IS breaking Ca***ian Laws by not complying with the following:- "The fax must identify the person or organization on behalf of whom the fax is being sent, INCLUDING THE TELEPHONE, FAX NUMBER AND NAME AND ADDRESS OF A RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO WHOME THE CALLED PARTY CAN WRITE. This rule ALSO applies to professional calling organizations sending unsolicited fax calls on behalf of another organization."- "FAXES CANNOT BE SENT TO EMERGENCY LINES OR HEALTHCARE FACILITIES."- "SENDER MUST MAINTAIN A DO NOT CALL LIST AND RESPECT THE LIST FOR 3 YEARS."- "NAMES AND NUMBERS MUST BE ENTERED ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST WITHIN 7 DAYS OF A REQUEST."- "THE SENDER MUST GIVE A UNIQUE REGISTRATION NUMBER FOR CONFIRMATION PURPOSES TO ALL PERSONS WHO REQUEST TO BE ADDED TO THE DO NOT CALL LIST."- "Sending hours restricted to weekdays between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. and weekends between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. HOURS REFER TO TIME ZONE OF THE CALLED PARTY."Our Healthcare Facility requested to be removed from all further fax mailings on April 6, 2010 (through a live representative, who provided confirmation # T5624), as well as on August 11, 2010 (through Lisa, a live representative who stated that she could not provide a confirmation number). We attempted to a***n remove our facility from further mailings today (October 7, 2010). We requested information on why our facility was still receiving faxes, despite twice registering with their 'do not call' list, and we additionally referred to the fact that contacting a Healthcare Facilities with phone/fax adverti*****ts is illegal. The live female agent in Corporate Sales (INACCURATELY) stated that it is not illegal, and refused to respond to why our facility was still receiving fax adverti*****ts. We then requested Central Travel/Travel 1's fax number to forward the company the Telecom Decision CRTC 2004-35 Rules which state Ca***ian law on these issues. The agent's response was "goodbye", and she disconnected the line.TO NOTE: "TELEPHONE SERVICE TO ALL LINES USED IN CONNECTION WITH FAXES THAT CONTRAVENE THESE RULES MAY BE SUSPENDED OR TERMINATED TWO BUSINESS DAYS AFTER NOTICE FROM THE TELEPHONE COMPANY"
I made a complaint to the BBB about Central State Travel and their spamming fax ads at my work, and JAY HAMMOND responded by telling the BBB that I ***ually abused his female agent and was harrassing them!!!CAN U BELIEVE IT!!! This is the type of person Jay hammond is. This guy called me every name in the book over the phone when I demanded to be taken off his list. This type of s*** needs to be shut-down!!

They are unscrupulous and, if your voice complaints, will be SWORN AT, degraded and berated. There is a reason you cannot find a phone number or a fax number for these FRAUD ARTISTS ....JAY HAMMOND IS A LIAR and all of his comments are completely false. Why do you think they no longer run under the Sunstar name ?I have tried REPEATEDLY to be removed from their database and they keep my number and do not remove fax numbers.See also : http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-888-867-7905 ... wide range of complaints
The perhaps your staff shouldn' t call people [removed:lanf] if you don't want bad publicity>>>Like you said to me....go to*****!!!!!
I agree with you Terry! Actually, Mike the Attorney and Jay the manager spell quite the same don't you think? Jay, if it looks like a duck, feels like a duck and quacks like a duck, it usually isn't a partridge!
I have checked with local authorities and I am sorry to tell you (if you were fooled into giving them your credit card number) that I was told that this company is nothing more than a scam. This old saying comes to mind: "If it sounds too good to be true... It probably is!" Here's a FAQ from an excellent article on fax scams from the following website: [urlhttp://www.junkfax.org/fax/basic_info/junk_fax_qa.htm[/url]"Q5. Are any of these offers legitimate?A: Virtually all are scams. Any legitimate company would be sued out existence if they advertised by fax. Our advice: why take the risk? There are plenty of other "great deals" from legitimate companies available."I find it kind of strange that Jay Hammond doesn't include his company's customer service/complaints phone number or address along with his signature at the end of his reply. This "company" also seems to c****e their phone number every time I receive one of their faxes (that should be your first clue). Give them a call (block your number first so they can't identify who you are) and you'll see how rude and uncooperative they can be when you kindly ask to have your number removed from their fax list (done so 6 times myself and continue to get these unwanted faxes from them).I also find it kind of funny that a lawyer that is attempting to defend their reputation wouldn't use correct spelling or capitalization in his personal response/defense of this company - Hmmmm.......
WHEN I CALLED TO HAVE THIS NUMBER REMOVED FROM OUR FAX....MY LIFE WAS THREATENED AND CALLED EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK AND TOLD I WOULD BE RECEIVING 5000 MORE FAXES.
I've received these pestering faxes from this company over and over so i finally decided to book one of the vacations. To be honest I'm an attorney and I was hoping it would be a scam so that I can sue them. So I waited for a couple months waiting for some random fees to show up on my credit card but eventually i got tired of waiting so i went ahead and just took the vacation kind of hoping it would kinda **** so that i have a legitimate reason to criticize this company. To my surprise the vacation was actually was pretty nice. The best part in my opinion was Daytona Beach (I'm 39 and have never been to the beach before) and my kids loved Disney World. We went on the required "tour" of the resort and simply showed no interest in the timeshare they were selling and they let me go, it was actually pretty nice because they gave us free lunch and lots of random free stuff that my kids liked. The cruise was nice too, I've never eaten so much in my life haha. The only part I didn't love is that we went on a Las Vegas trip, that was a bonus in the package, because my kids were pretty bored(i guess Vegas isn't that exciting when you're 9 years old!) I'm sure it would've been great if it was just me and my wife or even a buddy of mine. I'm sure I could've gone somewhere nicer, like Paris etc, but at the price I paid (i think it was $698) it can't really be beat.
To sum up that rant:No, we will keep on sending unsolicited faxes until you ask us very politely indeed to stop. We are right. The rest of the world is wrong.Once upon a time a mother went to see her son at an army parade. Johnnie could not get in step with the rest. "Oh look, " said mommy " they are all out of step but my Johnnie".
Because YOU PERSONALLY do not like to receive a fax do***ent, that does not mean that thousands of happy and satisfied clients who DID receive a fax and are happy they had a chance to receive a great vacation at a substantially discounted price do not want to receive one. You are "ASSUMING". Unfortunately, not all advertising meets everyones approval. Because ONE of our ****ods is advertising by Fax, does not mean that we are a scam. Have you purchased from us? Have you had a problem with a vacation that you purchased? Did you go on the vacation? Did you have ANY transaction with this company? If not, then how can you go on a public board and place a lie stating this is a "SCAM" when truly you have NO IDEA. Maybe you should just state that you do not approve of our advertising ****od. That is a more legit answer. So you are saying that because you do not like our advertising ****od, we automatically are a scam? Interesting.Al, we are a legitimate company who happens to use faxing once in a while as ONE of our advertising ****ods, and because YOU personally do not like our advertising ****od, is no reason to say this is a scam. If it were a scam, we would be hiding our name, we would not be telling you detailed information about our company, and we would not have merchant accounts. Sir, so you understand, To purchase a package from our company, we are required to do third party recorded verifications to make sure the agents have told you all correctly, to be sure that there are NO hidden costs or fees, to make sure that you understood all correctly and to be sure that you will indeed receive the package. We pay for each verification, which is stored for 3 years and can NEVER be ammended once done, stored in Texas with the company that we PAY to do the recordings. ALL FOR THE CLIENTS PROTECTION. We only accept credit cards as form of payment for that reason that you can always dispute any charge that was not legitimate. That is why we do the recording as an audio reciept. No one is forcing you to buy anything and if you do not like the fax, call in and have your number removed. We turn in deletions every two days and remove numbers not wishing to receive faxes, the problem is that people receive from many different companies and they do not understand that they are NOT related and we can only remove you from our list. The number to be deleted at the bottom of every page leads to a deletion company called and IVR. These companies are paid to do removals by the advertising agency. Saying that, just because that number is the same does not mean it is the same company, it means they use the same advertising company that is all. So you need to call each individually. A***n, I apologize if you do not like our advertising ****od, but do not slander our company based on your****umptions. Thank You, Jay HammondCSM
You feel sorry for your good employees because many people yell at them to be removed? Perhaps there is a hint in there for you. Spam fax is not a legitimate form of advertising. It is illegal in the US and should be illegal in Ca***a if the government/CRTC had a spine. You are shifting the cost (toner and paper) of your advertising on to recipients that do not want to hear from you. We shouldn't HAVE to call and remove our fax numbers from your database...you shouldn't be faxing. If every business in the US sent one unsolicited fax per decade to each fax number in Ca***a there would be no point in owning a fax ma****e. Sadly there seems to be a number of travel companies/scams that think stealing my toner and paper is completely legitimate. Thinking consumers should consider these travel touts to be scams or at the very least just a bunch of ****s.Your ****od of advertising is very shady. People that understand this will naturally****ume you are a scam regardless of your track record with people that are foolish enough to do business with you. Perhaps you are willing to sacrifice respectability for sales. There is a ****er born every minute, right?Personally I am of the opinion that everyone makes mistakes. If you had sent a spam blast of fax, received a number of complaints, realized that what you were doing was wrong, and then stopped the shady spam faxing then maybe you would have redeemed yourself. Unfortunately you continue to do what you do despite numerous loud complaints. This screams scam to me. I hope you and your ilk are fined thrown in prison.Al
please con firm directly to me that this vacation package is not a hard sell time shareI have no problem looking at property for investment but do not whant to be pushed into itHow can I be shure my money spent for the vacation is good valuecan you give me phone numbers of hotels you use so I can check
Funny for us to read these messages and know just who are writing them and the lies they produce. I am the Customer Service Manager and have heard many of these people complaining call and the only true complaint that they have is that they wanted their phone number deleted and they feel that we did not do it when NOTHING was ever bought from our offices and they have no dealing with us other than calling and cursing at our agents and screaming like children about having their number removed and do not want to listen to reasonable answers from the agent. As for dealing with us and saying we are a scam, beware of slander when you have not dealt with our company. If you have, fess up to your name and contract number and let us know what happened with you, how do you feel this is a scam? For what did our company "jack their prices" Our price is set from the begining and there is not additional price unless you wish to upgrade other than that we give you the information, we do recorded verifications to be sure we have told you all correctly and that there are no hidden fees or costs and that you will indeed get all as told and promised in addition we are licensed, bonded and insured in the state of florida as registered sellers of travel which also means the state of Florida has a $50,000 surety bond to be sure all are traveled as told and promised, so I challenge you Mr. ME or Mrs ME, to tell us all how we are a "SCAM" and Let us know how you have dealt with us. I would like to know so that I can make sure that I take care of whatever problem you say we have. As an insight, let me tell you all how it is to be here and when we DO send out a fax drop. We get calls from people instead of asking to be removed, they call belittling the agents, screaming rude obscenities at them, telling them how they are losers and b*** people when indeed these are great people trying to feed their families just like all of the others out there. If they want the number deleted, let me give you a hint, just call and ASK kindly and say THANK YOU and I can****ure you that the agents will take them off. It is our policy here to strictly delete all numbers 3 times per week,. we scrub our lists a***nst do not call registries and we work hard to do a great job. To get screamed at always and to be belittled really stinks as a good employee and YES, I have heard a few that could not take it no more and yell back, but they are reprimanded and talked to, but still I have to feel bad because I know how they are being treated. What people misunderstand is that the deletion number belongs to a deletion company who does nothing but deletions and they are deleting for w***ver is faxing that particular day. They could be deleting for many companies that same week or month but they are usually NOT the same company. There are many travel companies and they are use similar do***ents because the fax companies give us standards they look for. I****ure you they delete your number because we do not want to receive the deletion or waste money sending you a fax you dont want, receiving a phone call that we pay for and do not want to, and you waste the time of a sales person who could be selling so for many reasons we are very strict on getting these off our list. I have heard many agenst go and try to explain it only to get cursed at and humiliated! If you want to be removed, call the number at the bottom as well as call the operator and ask kindly to be deleted, do not argue with them or curse at them and I can promise you t hat you will be removed asap. I am very frustrated that people will come on here and slam a company who is licensed, bonded insured and registered with IATAN and doing the right thing for many years. Our company puts our REAL name on all advertising, we put our number, and we put put our information. I do not believe any other company out there does that. We work hard to be the best and do not deserve the bad comments that people put for the fact that they are only mad they got a fax. How about TELL THE TRUTH and show that we have traveled more than 200-300 people per week on great vacations both discounted and not. We have been doing this for many years and because you received a fax do***ent does not always mean it is from our company. If you have a problem with our service, then let us know by calling and speaking with Customer Service, if you have a problem with a fax, call the number at the bottom and you can kindly call an agents and request it get removed. You can ask for your confirmation number as well for the deletion. Calling screaming like fools will only get you ***g up on or not listened to. Also be sure that you are talking about the right company because many do***ents look familiar and we are NOT all the same people as many of you think! I hope this makes this clearer. Jay HammondCSM Central State Travel
This is a company out to rip you off. They are rude, ignorant and they jack up the price when you call about their "specials" They send faxes over the border illegally to Ca***a and refuse to stop sending them. They are currently under investigation by local police for fraud and inter state theft. Any positive comments are done by staff members out to rip you off.BEWARE
Central State Travel Reservations Dept. is the offender. I have asked repeatedly to be removed from their call list and I am on the Ca***ian Do Not Call List. What else do I need to stop these time wasters?
I am a representative of this company and Central State Travel is not a Timeshare company nor do they sell Timeshare, there is a 90 min. resort tour in Orlando in which if you are a person interested in Timeshare you can speak with the agents there at this time.
Received fax from Central State Travel Reservations Dept: Looked up their web site, found this bit of info:Because these packages are designed for introducing families to vacation ownership, ( timeshare? )
